Where do I begin… this is one of the lowest rated steakhouses and fine dining establishments I have ever intentionally gone to. 4.3 stars out of hundreds of reviews, and now I know why.
You drive up to this beautifully landscaped modern building with plenty of parking. Double doors into the reception area. Me, my wife and 6 other people waited at the reception desk for 10 minutes while the only person manning the desk (for two restaurants) not only continued to talk on the phone, but a few minutes after she hung up, she continued to write notes before helping ANY of the people who were waiting for her.
When we were finally seated, we were greeted by a very nice female server with blue hair. And since today was “National Pride Day” she was sporting large rainbow heart earrings. I truly don’t care about anyone’s sexuality or support thereof, but is it important for someone at work to make this statement, while at work?
We ordered an appetizer and it came to the table differently than described by the menu. The menu described it as fried potatoes. What we got was a baked potato smashed with a fork with cheeses, bacon, chives, sour cream and salsa. We ate it without complaining as it looked and smelled great and we were starved. My wife and I ordered ice tea with sweetener, and we had to ask for it 3 times before it found its way to the table.
I ordered a mixed salad with kale green goddess dressed salad. I ordered the sirloin steak “medium rare”. The salad came with 90% kale, a few chunks of iceberg lettuce and a cup of cold green peas. The steak was served to me cold rare in the middle of a thin steak. Shocking. This is not what I ordered and I took a photo for you to see below.
I sent the steak back to be cooked to medium rare.
My wife ordered the chicken Marsala and after she took a bite, the sauce was so sweet that she left all the sauce she was able to remove from her plate. These three items with two ice teas came today $71.50.
We told the server how disappointed we were with the food and the service, and she said she would discount my meal. When she returned, the bill showed a $7 discount.
This place has management issues, personnel issues, and the food (new menu) is severely misrepresented on the menu, to what shows up on the table. The cook (won’t call them a chef), the receptionist and the manager need to be replaced before I would EVER consider dining here again or recommending this restaurant to anyone I cared about. Avoid this place like the plague. We will.

Our first time in this restaurant and, while it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t great. We expected something more upscale. I mean, it has its own entrance from Stymies (which we like and frequent) and it is presented as something more than Stymies. But, in reality, it’s not. We much prefer Stymies where you can get an actual table, not a booth.
OK, it was really crowded on Saturday night. Really busy. They just didn’t seem to have the staff for it. Not the fault of the staff. As a result, we waited 20 minutes before anyone came by to ask if we needed anything. Staff was very nice, explained that they were busy, and that there would be delays.
The biggest issue was the noise. The place needs some sound-dampening treatment. It was really noisy and made any attempt at conversation more difficult than a restaurant should be. I expect this sound level in a bar. But not in a “fine dining” atmosphere, which this place is not.
Crab cakes ($26) were very good. My partner’s salmon ($28) was also very good. My halibut ($34) was way over-cooked and the thick layer of spice was worthy of being scraped off. I asked for lemon wedges to help rehydrate the fish.
All-in-all, neither one of us would go back. We will continue to visit Stymies, but not Double Eagle, which was worthy of a double star and a half but, as that’s not an option, it gets 3.

Food was bland and poorly prepared, service was kind but absurdly slow and atmosphere was nothing special. Similar to an upscale Dennys decor. Soup took more than an hour, 3 med-rare steaks came out WELL done and were def not ribeyes, salmon was dry and bland. Save your money and go somewhere else. 5 people nearly $400, one entree each and one drink each and we shared 2 appetizers. Not about the money, in fact we laughed it off. Nor did we complain but will never go back. Spend your hard earned cash somewhere else.

Absolutely stunning. We had our office Christmas party here, and the staff at the Cedars made sure it would become a fond memory. The grounds are beautiful and clean, the building is elegant and well-designed, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the people are professional and welcoming. Our party was attended to by Olivia K. and Ken M., and we couldn’t have asked for better staff. They were on top of everything, making sure the space stayed clean, drinks were filled, plates were taken, without ever being in the way or intrusive. The table that was set up for us was gorgeous, with wonderfully festive accents. Overall it was a great success, and I attribute much of that to the professionals we were lucky enough to have serve us. If I have any parties in the future, I’ll be sure to bring them here.

My wife and I are from out of state. Friends who are regular customers ask us to meet them there for dinner. Reviews had me concerned, however we all had a great experience. Good and service was good. Cost was reasonable as well. Try it!

Went here based on reviews. The menu sounds great. I was going to order a steak , glad I didn’t. Jeremy was nice but scattered. He took 15 minutes to bring a table near us their Pepsi. The females on staff didn’t seem to be helping. The mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy like they were out of the fridge and microwaved improperly. The chicken Marsala had decent flavor but it was a minuscule slice of chicken breast maybe $2 worth of chicken. The seasonal veggies were two broccoli florets and maybe five green beans. I wanted to love it but I didn’t. The hostess also took 8 minutes to appear and there was nobody else waiting.

Took a chance without reservations and we were able to sit on the patio. We were told it would take a while to prep our meal. It was a lovely evening and we were happy. Staff members were friendly and accommodating. Didn’t hurt to have nice-sized Cadillac Margaritas while we waited! My companion’s elk burger was cooked as ordered and very good; he also really liked the sweet potato fries. My steak was cooked as ordered, the green beans were perfectly cooked with a little crunch to them, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and rich. We *might* have enjoyed another margarita during dinner…
Recommend this for a special night out (reservations would be advised).

We were tired from a long day of travel, our host at the hotel recommended we give the “golf course” a try, so we did. We had a drink and dinner. My drink was a dirty martini, it was dirty and tasty, well done!
I had the scallops, the risotto was so delicious, I wanted more. Barring that, one more scallop would have been perfection. That’s a tiny nitpick, it was a decent amount, I just wanted one more taste of everything. My apologies for the bite taken before the picture, I couldn’t resist!
My husband had the halibut and said it was delicious too, and plenty filling.
We sat in the bar, seated ourselves by the window, it’s a pretty view of the golf course and driving range.

We chose Double Eagle for my wife’s birthday dinner while staying at Discovery Bay. Our server was Jen whose personality and attitude were five stars. That said, was there seemed to be a shortage of servers so getting served and closing our tab took longer than they should have. My wife was looking forward to a whole crab but it was so small it was barely the size of a half crab. At this restaurant at this location that it not acceptable for the price. She did not want to send it back and patiently ate it saying it was good but not very sweet. My halibut was quite good other than a few bones in the first piece. It was not worth twice what my friend paid for cod. The fries and coleslaw were great and the lemon and chocolate mousse were delicious.

I have always had fabulous service and great food here. I recently developed an allergy and didn’t think to tell the waitress. The food came out with the allergen in it. When I asked the waitress about it, she said I should have told her. I apologized and said yes it’s my fault. My husband said he would pay for a new entree. The waitress at least 4 times stated I should have told her. I apologized the first two times, the third time I apologized and said the meal did not look like it would have the allergen when looking at the menu. The 4th time she said I should have told her, I said it was a new allergy and I didn’t think to tell her. At no time did I ask for a free replacement or insinuate it was her fault. I felt humiliated. The replacement meal came out uncooked with what seemed like 10 times as much spice as what I have experienced previous times I have been there. It burned going down. I didn’t eat it. I would absolutely eat at this restaurant again but I would never have that waitress serve me ever again.
