We are a cool eclectic 1963 British Double Decker Bus.
We serve organic coffee, organic teas, & locally made desserts.
Beverages & desserts can be enjoyed on our beautiful patio.
We also serve delicious all fruit smoothies & affogatos made with premium vanilla ice cream. For your safety and the safety of others, due to the age of the bus, the upstairs seating is closed at this time. However, there is plenty of seating in our open patio area.
Hip double-decker bus with an adjacent patio supplying coffee & espresso drinks, plus sweet treats.

Very unique, eclectic coffee shop in a double decker bus! They had a fantastic variety of coffee, tea and beverage options, some yummy bakery confections, cool stickers and souvenirs. I love the outside seating area and decor. Reasonably priced! I had the Asheville chai and it was delicious!

The fall/spooky Halloween decorations are on point for this coffee served out of a double Decker. Everything is cash only so keep that in mind, there are some ATMs around the corner. We showed up right as they opened and there was already a line down to the corner to order. Lines move a bit slow but once you get to the front service is quick. Some tables to eat/ wait and overall a fun little experience

Double D’s is easily one of the most unique stops in Asheville. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the incredible vintage double-decker bus. It’s a genuine piece of history that adds a delightful splash of London charm right in the middle of the city.
The restoration is clearly a labor of love, making the experience feel both nostalgic and entirely special. Stepping onto the bus is a fantastic novelty—especially the seating area on the top deck, which gives you a prime perch for watching the activity on Biltmore Avenue. It’s a superb example of how a creative concept can become a local landmark.

This was a must stop coffee shop for me because when do you ever get to get coffee from a double decker bus! The coffee was great I got the lavender honey iced latte I think it was called. It was freezing outside so we waited inside their small waiting area and it was really cool to see how they made the inside into a coffee shop. We did not get any baked goods but they looked delicious. The bus and the outer seating area was decorated adorably for Christmas.

Visiting this place is a nice experience while in Asheville. Its an old bus turned coffee shop. There’s seating outside the bus. They have some good varieties of coffee and taste is pretty good too. Only thing is since just one person is preparing the wait time depending on when you visit during the day could be tiring. Seems a little pricey but you pay for the experience I guess.

Very cool unique place to grab coffee in Asheville. The novelty of the red bus is really cool and the staff was very nice. I ordered a pumpkin pie latte and I enjoyed it a lot!

We came with our whole family to get coffee and hot chocolate last evening. My wife was sold a “cold” hot chocolate. I asked the girl behind the register if she could heat it. She told us no and said she would remake it but honestly because the amount of dairy they put in that the hot chocolate would probably be just as cold. Her attitude was quite honestly one of the worst I have ever seen in the food business. An employee like that will kill your great reputation. I have been coming to the bus for years. Hope the employees improve greatly.

We visited because we’d seen this place all over social media, but it didn’t live up to the hype. There was a long line and not enough staff to keep things moving. The girl at the counter wasn’t very friendly either.
The coffee itself was underwhelming, though the desserts were actually good. Just wouldn’t go out of our way to come back.

I absolutely love this place and its people, but it’s SO disappointing that they close on a weekday. I work downtown, and a number of times in the past few months, I’ve made the cold hike over to the bus to discover a locked gate with a hand- written addendum to their hours. Today (3/4/26) Asheville was blessed with gorgeous weather! Perfect weather to enjoy an iced latte during a post-lunch stroll! Alas, it’s a Wednesday. Locked gate. No coffee. Hope these “Winter hours” end soon.
