My favorite restaurant in Madison!
We have been going to Double 10 regularly for about 4 years now and have never been disappointed. In the beginning we were just coming for hotpot but have started expanding into their normal menu. Great service and you can tell the people there truly care about their restaurant, as they are always working the floor. This is our social choice meal that we bring everyone who visits us to and we always get very positive remarks. They offer a wide selection of different broths (Szechuan spicy is the absolute go to imo) and there is a pretty large menu of items to buy for your pot. All items are large portions so they work out well for sharing around the table. There is a sauce and noodle bar to compliment and I know it like the back of my hand at this point. Recently we started ordering from their regular menu and getting takeout. Wow! Everything we have tried has been so delicious that at one point we were there getting delivery three days in a row. The pork egg rolls are a must try along with the peanut noodles. They also offer pots to go, which was great and made for a nice at home alternative to satisfy my cravings. I can confidently say that this our favorite restaurant and we will continue to be regular customers for a long as we possibly can.

When we walked in, it felt clean and cozy. However, when we ordered. It took a really long time for the food to get here. They gave us the wrong food but fixed it right away. I loved the tomato hotpot, it was delicious and the servings were very generous. The spicy hotpot was also really good. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would recommend coming here for a delicious hearty meal.

Possibly the most authentic Chinese food in all of Madison. The restaurant is Northeastern Chinese style, so thankfully (for me) the spice is not too spicy! Prices are great, and the flavor of each dish tastes so well composed. The food tastes like my own mother cooked it. Service is fantastic as well. Definitely please check out this locally owned restaurant!

Pleasant first impression. The food was freshly cooked, generous portions and friendly service. I tried order from the menu so can’t comment on the hot pot experience itself. Recommend for near downtown lunch or dinner when everything else is closed. I had better hot and sour soup so was not too impressed with this one but it was ok.

The food was absolutely delicious. Quality cuts of meat, thinly sliced. An abundance of vegetables and a self serve with noodles, sliced potatoes and sweet potatoes. Their potstickers are the best I have ever had. The service was excellent. I will definitely be going back!

Sichuan style chicken~ look like the chicken is frozen chicken from Sam’s club, just deep fried with some peppers, it’s not how is supposed to be AT ALL!
Xiao Chao Rou is a Hunan cuisine which supposedly having spicy peppers, leek, garlic and pork belly, at Double 10 it surprised me with very dry pork with celery bamboo shoot, not spicy at all…. It was horrible at its finest!!!!!!!

We had never been here before and felt incredibly taken care of. The thoughtfulness and kindness of the staff was appreciated in showing us how to cook our food. The curry broth was incredible and the sauce recipes were so good for dipping. What a fun experience!

We arrived during a busy time but they were quick to get us a table- which happened to be their large group room? It was really nice that we had the space, and though that arrangement wasn’t planned it was something I’d definitely consider bringing my 6 person family to!
My boyfriend and I had never had hot pot but the worker was very informative and helpful. Food was delicious and we both left full. I enjoyed one of the spicy base options and it was great!

i went for dinner with my family, and the food was pretty good. only thing I would say is there weren’t many instructions, as we have never been to a hot pot restaurant before. we asked the waiter what to do with the sauce that had come w the noodles, and she gave us a rushed response. my sister got hot pot and ordered seaweed to come with it, but they gave her some shrimp paste thing instead, it wasn’t too big of an issue as my mom liked it, and my sister just left it out of her portion. that brings up another thing: if you share your hot pot with another person, it is a 8$ charge? I myself ordered the beef Ramen, and the noodles were good, but my beef was quiet fatty, which resulted in me just avoiding the beef altogether. the dumplings with scrambled eggs and pork were very good. would we come back? probably. would i order the same thing again? probably not.
(now don’t get me wrong. i know, it sounds like I just listed a lot of things that i didn’t like about this restaurant. but the food was quite good, and it was an overall good experience… is this the people pleaser in me talking? yes.. a little)

I cannot recommend this spot enough. The hotpot experience is amazing—the food is delicious and they provide individual mini pot per patron. Staff is incredibly kind—the owner is incredibly welcoming and attentive!
