Eating here was not on our radar. However, after arriving 90 minutes late to New Orleans (no thanks to American Airlines), then waiting 2 1/2 hours for our rental car (avoid Budget Car Rental at MSY, they are incompetent), we were starving and couldn’t wait until our final destination to get dinner. We found Dots on Google Maps, and arrived after a 5 minute drive from the airport. Finally, the first GOOD THING that happened on this trip! This place specializes in feeding locals, the number of apparent regular diners was impressive for a Thursday night. Staff was extremely friendly, the service was FAST, and the food was fresh, hot, and outstanding! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We love Dot’s!!! The service was awesome! We felt at home. I love that we could get breakfast and dinner together at 10:30pm fresh. No reheated frozen food here. Want it a little different than the menu? No problem, because they actually cook it when you order. This place lives up to the commercials. Can’t wait to go back!

Dot’s has a very friendly, fun staff and excellent food! We both had the Shrimp Po Boy and it was flavorful and delicious! We super enjoyed our dinner there as visitors from Virginia.

This was an awesome place we stopped at to grab a bite before we went to the airport. Friendly customer service, good food, and listen to the recommendations the waiter/waitresses gives you.
I got the seafood omelet (Amazing) that came with hasbrowns or grits (I got the grits) and toast or biscuit ( I got the biscuit). It was really filling and worth it. I also got the cheese fries, but had to add some ketchup for a little more sodium.
All in all, hard working team that works well together from a customer’s perspective.

Very cute 50’s diner. Seating options of booths, tables, and classic bar stools. I tried the daily special which was a meat ball sandwich but I elected for hash browns. Great atmosphere. Temp was a little warm sitting in the booths across from the flat top grill. Food was excellent and well seasoned… The bread was very good too. Hash browns were perfectly cooked.

Down home local spot. The waitress knew all the regulars and their orders, and she made me feel like I was a regular too! Food came out fast and was hot and delicious! Large portions.

I loved the food, which was an exemplary staple of American cuisine, promptly served. I liked the atmosphere of a so-called “old country diner”.
I couldn’t however enjoy being charged full prices, even though the happy hours offer stood in plain sight on my table, citing quotes a few bucks lower. Hadn’t it been for that oversight, I would’ve gladly said I left the diner fully satisfied.

I had been to this location before and had an amazing experience. However, I visited again last night and felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. The waitress was extremely rude and hostile. I am a server myself and understand that we all have bad days or moments where we unintentionally come off as rude but this was different. There is no need to be so aggressive when I am simply trying to order my food. When asked how I wanted my eggs I first said fried, then changed it to scrambled right after. The waitress jumped up and asked if she had to “explain it to me”. I was shocked with the way I was talked to and I hope this person finds peace. Food was good and the inside of the diner was pretty.

This diner is a must visit whenever I’m in town now! We decided to come here because I saw shrimp and catfish on the menu and everyone else wanted breakfast. Everyone was overjoyed with their food!! The catfish and shrimp left nothing to be desired, it was flaky and moist and fried to perfection. Tender sausage and even more tender biscuits and gravy made me homesick for a grandma I never had. Thank you Heather for making it a perfect dining experience!!
Oh, and beignet fries changed my life.

The food was very good. The location is easy to get to, decent amount of parking.
I got the Big Cheesy with Hash-browns. The Hash-browns we prepared with a perfect amount of crunch. The Big Cheesy had awesome flavor. It was impossible to eat with my hands (cheese was spewing everywhere). But, it went down just as good with a fork and a knife.
The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because one of the members of the wait staff wasn’t very friendly, and came across rude.
I would definitely recommend this place. if I’m back in town I will keep this on my list of possible places to revisit.
