After a long day, we were seriously craving some Surat-style dosas, and we stumbled upon Dosa Point inside Desi Galaxy. The menu immediately caught our eye and looked super interesting. So we decided to give it a try and we’re so glad we did!
We ordered the Paper Garlic Plain Dosa, Jini Dosa, and Ghotala Dosa, and every single one exceeded expectations. The Paper Garlic Dosa was perfectly crispy, with amazing garlic flavor. The Jini and Ghotala Dosas were rich, flavorful, and took us straight back to the streets of Surat – truly nostalgic!
The service was fast, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, this place is a hidden gem for anyone craving real desi street food vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in New Jersey – absolutely worth a visit!

First timer. Fantastic location right in the heart of oak tree road . Lots of shops within desi galaxy – newly renovated shop . As we were waiting for food, wi thought of trying some hot idlis .. fantastic service . Paaji was very courteous and always smiling . Lots of space inside to sit and eat . Lots of parking available .
Had idli / Sambar …. Not bad for 7$ . Good price . Being South Indian, we are fond of idlis: but this one wasn’t at par ! I think they make idlis with rava and was very brittle .. hope they make this with idli batters. Sambar was ok: Chutneys were average .. like the red chutney better . Lots of options for South Indian food around . Will try dosa / Oothappam next time and update/ post review ..

Very friendly people. Dosas are delicious here. I usually don’t drink the sambar but I made an exception. It was very tasty. Great new addition to the area. Prices are very reasonable too.

I never had such a perfect dosa before. Perfectly crisped. Best masala. And the samber was awesome.

I had the mysore masala dosa and it was delicious. It’s on the spicy side so if you’ve got a gentle palate, you may want to choose something else but I loved it. The creamy coconut sauce was my favorite side. It’s definitely enough for two servings so share with someone or make it two meals for yourself.

We tried the speciality Jini dosa. It was a good balance of spice, cheese, and reminded us of the Mumbai street dosas. Portion size was good and filling. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely try this dosa again. We got takeout so it was not as crispy by the time we ate it but we still enjoyed it with the coconut chutney and sambhar.

Dosa Point was ON POINT. I had Dosa and Idli and boy were they delicious. I am a BIG MEAT LOVER and I was hesitant to try vegetarian food but I was wrong. This place makes me be open to that idea haha but as a proud Peruvian I can’t leave my ceviche, Pollo y carne behind. The guy taking the order was so excited to serve me that it felt like he was my friend, I do the same when I introduce my culture and food to my loved ones so I really want to mention that. Highly recommend the place and there were other restaurants here to add more variety. Dosa Point made sure Every Bite Was On Point.
