I didn’t even know this place existed AND I’m so happy I do now!! This dosa is awesome!!! The dosa is an Authentic, Southern Indian Dosa with a peanut chutney that is so basic and perfect at the same time as the spice comes in at the end and it’s a great combo. The Masala dosa was tasty with the potatoes inside! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I’ll be back soon!!!

Must try south indian tiffins. Loved the chutneys. Ghee podi idly is my favourite.

I walk down Murray a lot and spotted the sign for Dosa District.
I AM SO THRILLED I stopped in. We had the the onion samosas, the masala Dosa, the ramki bandi Dosa, a tea, and a (very generously comped) mango lassi.
The onion samosas were flavorful and crisp. They came with ketchup which I had never had served with a samosa before but was tasty. My only note is that I would like a couple of chutney options as well.
The Dosa absolutely hit it out of the park. They were so good – crispy and soft at the same time, good flavor development on the batter, and the fillings were incredible. The masala filling was solidly excellent. The ramki bandi filling is probably the tastiest Dosa I’ve ever had.
This place is a gem. I will absolutely be back. A lot. I hope you go too so this restaurant sticks around for the long haul.

Finally found a spot in Milwaukee that serves proper South Indian breakfast!
The idli and bonda were soft and fresh, and the chutney had that real Hyderabadi flavor…so good.
Tried the chicken biryani too — tasty, especially for the price.

Dosa District is hands down my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee! The food is absolutely amazing every dish bursts with authentic flavors that transport you straight to South India. The bonda are perfectly crispy and generously filled, and the accompanying chutneys and sambar are spot on. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Dosa District delivers a delicious and memorable experience. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the quality is consistently top-notch. If you’re in MKE, do yourself a favor and check it out it’s a must-visit!

I ordered a Plain Pesarattu in Doordash, I received a burnt one, its very black. They cleverly removed the burnt pieces, and they put the burnt side down in the box so I could not see it.

Being from South India, I always look for that authentic home-style flavor — and this place nailed it! The idlis were so soft, and the filter coffee was spot on. Highly recommend for anyone craving real South Indian comfort food.
