Great food and nice people. It is a big and busy place.

Mild hot sauce tasted like tomato sauce. Queso had no real flavor, rather bland. The food in general didn’t have much flavor. The best thing about the myself was that bottled beer and the gal that served us.

We were traveling through Bowie and stopped for a meal. The service was friendly and knowledgeable to help me order a salad that met my dietary restrictions. I had the fajita salad which was fresh and met my “low carb” requirements. My companion had the three cheese enchilada plate. The salsa was offered in different levels of heat which is great if you’re not into the spicy salsa. My only constructive suggestion would be to add avocado slices to the fajita salad.

Holy wow! My lunch here was terrific! I ordered the brisket tacos. Portion wasn’t too much or too little. The flavor was outstanding. I’d have taken a picture of the tacos, but I didn’t want to stop eating to do so. So, ya got a pic of my empty plate! YUM!!!

This was my first visit to Dos Chiles. I give them top ratings for: 1. Beautiful atmosphere 2. Friendly and knowledgeable service 3. Gracious hospitality, and 4. Fresh, quality ingredients. Further explanation: 1. A clearly skilled decorator found unique ethnic items to adorn the restaurant. 2. Emily enthusiastically cared for our table of six men. She offered quick recommendations when asked. And she kept our salsa bowls and chips coming.
3. We were having a church camp planning meeting and kept our table from 6:30 until they closed at 9:00. Nothing expressed but joy to have us all evening long. 4. I like that they offer a spicy and mild salsa. This would make my wife happy. (She’s allergic to jalepeños.) On Emily’s recommendation I tried the stir-fried veggies with beef and chicken. Excellent vegetables not overcooked and good cuts of beef and chicken fajita meat.
Why withhold a star? For me, the stir-fry was light on spice/flavor. They could upgrade the fajita marinade. But I will definitely return and order the stir-fry again. But I will request some fresh jalepeños added to the veggies.

We just left Dos Chiles in Bowie TX where 13 of us had lunch. There is a speaker right over the table where they seated us. It was so loud and the drum beat so annoying I could barely hear the lady next to me. We asked if it could be turned down and was told that it couldn’t.

Wife and driving through the area and stopped for lunch. Was served chips and salsa. I opted for spicy. Spicy and yummy.Server greeted us, took our order. Very friendly and helpful. I had sour cream chicken enchilada and beef enchilada with chili sauce, wife had chicken and beef enchilada with sour sour creme sauce. She loved hers. I thought sour creme chicken was delicious, beef with chili wasn’t to my liking. Not saying it was bad, just not my favorite. I had flan for dessert, very good. Overall very please with the food and service. If we find ourselves in town again we’ll dine here again.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. I ordered The Bronco – A tamale, enchilada, and taco with rice and beans. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. I really liked the rice; it was typical Mexican rice, but different enough from others to stand out. My tamale was big, and the chili sauce on top was very good. The only con was the chips. They were thin and crispy, which I like BUT they were SO greasy. The grease was almost dripping off! So much that the grease flavor over powered the chip flavor. This was my first time here, so I am going just assume they are not tyoically that greasy. We arrived just after opening, and I think maybe they didn’t have their oil completely heated before frying the chips. The hot sauce was really fresh and good. The parking lot was filling up, so it seems that lots of people like to eat there. I will definitely go back next time I’m in town.
