We visited Dos Caminos this past Sunday for a Birthday brunch. It’s our second time visiting this location. We like the area because of the lively vibe and atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself is nicely situated.

I am sure there are lots of great food places around Chelsea, but in my opinion Dos Camino’s has the best Mexican food in the area. We had the Taco Tour with chicken, pork, fish, and steak tacos. They all tasted totally different from each other and all were wonderful! The guacamole is homemade and so fresh and delicious.

Such a fun date night spot! The staff greeted us warmly and led us to our seat inside ( I loved the decorations and the vibrancy of this spot, & the music!)

Have been here twice now! Both day & night times are good to hang out here. The food was good, price is as expected for New York City. It is pretty close to Little Island and Chelsea marker & the High Line so makes for a great destination if you have planned an evening or a short trip. We ordered Empandas de plantano, large quac, Vegan cauliflower tacos (were ok!) with mojitos & margaritas to drink. The atmosphere is cool & decor is colorful too! Nice vibe.

It was not our first time in Dos Caminos but in that establishment yes. I ordered Queso Fundido with Chorizo and it looked more like soup than fundido, it tasted terrible, accompanied with “tortillas” that looked more like tostada from the day before, plus the food was cold. After we were served, the waitress, forget her name, never asked us if everything was ok even though the restaurant was empty. We asked for hot sauces and they didn’t even give us a spoon, we used the fork and the knife. Honestly terrible service and food.

I passed by for dinner service and we were pretty hungry. We were seated almost immediately asked what we wanted to eat and the waitress was pretty friendly and patient in regards to our questions for the meal and explaining the menu. I must inform the they have a drink menu, HOWEVER they don’t provide any information on their non-alcoholic drinks. I checked their website, the paper menu, uber eats page everything so do be careful on that end. We ordered our meals and got our appetizer nachos within about 10-15 minutes so I believed that the food would be 30 minutes more. But I was wrong. I saw as other customers came in ordered their meals. And received their meal while we waited a full hour before any dishes arrived. We had ordered another order of nachos exactly like the appetizer nachos for a meal for hour table and that too had taken an hour to arrive. The mac and cheese for the kids and the mac and chorizo appetizer were pretty bland and almost reminded me of the slightly more expensive kraft mac and cheese with the limited edition pokemon shape (except they weren’t pokemon shaped). I had a salad, my family ordered tacos, quesadilla and carne asada. And they were alright but not at the price they charged. They were playing dj music and that was pretty cool. Overall if you’re in the area and you’re… REALLY REALLY HUNGRY for mexican and just can’t go to Roosevelt ave or sunset park, might I suggest the taco bell cantina on 6th ave or chipotle on 8th Ave? Their meats have a bit more flavor. For the the restaurant I would’ve appreciated a little more communication with us if the meals were going to take a a little bit longer instead of all the indoor waiters staring at us as they passed by with water, and food for other tables.

Good Mexican food. The Cesar salad was very good, the corn bread excellent. The veggie tacos had almost no veggies, lots of black beans and onions. The service was very good!

Very tasty and great location. Everything is decently priced, and the service is very friendly. However, the service is really slow and the portions are pretty small. It wasn’t busy, just slow service overall and forgetful of things.

You will for sure feel like you’re entering a Mexican restaurant, the atmosphere is really traditional, with colourful flags hanging from the cieling. A lot of tables and the food is very good. The Margarita cocktail is really delicious.
