Food is delicious! Tacos are so filling. I had the shrimp taco with fresh veggies. And the campechana, the meat was so tender and well seasoned. I fell in love with the quesagloria! What a delicious dessert! Staff was kind and friendly, and the place in itself is really nice. Made feel like back in Mexico.

I ordered through favor. Maybe if you dine in it’s better. The taco I received had almost no meat and was mostly sauce. The nachos were disastrous. Lots of chips, the “toppings” were in side containers and so small they weren’t worth putting on the chips. Would never order delivery again chips vs beans for the nachos pictured

We stopped by for drinks and some chips/queso. We ordered the chip and dip trio and a couple strawberry margaritas with sugar. The drinks tasted great, but were surprisingly strong and were only FIVE DOLLARS. The trio was $10, but was fully satisfying and we didn’t even finish all the dips. The place also smelled amazing with smoked meats, and if I’m in the area, I would definitely stop by for a proper meal. 10/10

The shining star of Tacos and queso in the Austin area, Dos Batos encapsulates the word smoke, bottles it up and packs it into the savory tacos they have been serving since 2010.
The single location located in the Walmart parking lot, has been consistent 100% of the time regarding their northern Mexico style food. starting off with some Queso or elote sets up the payoff of the tacos. The Pirata, a carne asada/steak, cheese and avocado Taco is my favorite and showing is the premium version. Triple the size of a regular.
Vegetarian Don’t worry, there is some options for you like the Ostin. If smoke is too much for you, you can ask for a non-smoky version which would include pastor brisket and carnitas as well as some other options. Oh, and there’s plenty of salads for you herbivores. Make anything a combo and they can accommodate most allergy restrictions.
With the addition of happy hour and micheladas, you’re now able to enjoy some adult ravages with your meals. Please drink responsibly

Queso was amazing. My food was pretty good, my partner liked her taco too but she especially loved the house sauce. I wish the beef was a like more tender but I was very impressed with the flavor. The wood fired flavor really helps the taco. Everything here has from scratch too.
The atmosphere here is really nice and open. I love the art work
The staff are really friendly and the food comes out quick and hot. I’ll be returning for the pastor and crane asada.

this place is actually really good. if you haven’t tried them, it’s definitely worth a trip. i get a pollo hybrid and a steak hybrid. the hybrid part is they add in grilled onions peppers and mushrooms, but if you just want meat, cheese, and avocado, get the normal one. i’m a veggie guy.
also, the guacamole and queso are great together and the elote is pretty good as well.

This place was so delicious! It’s a must try! We had the chicken and pulled pork torta and it was top Notch! The chicken was nice and tender with that rich Smokey flavor and the pulled pork rich in flavor! The Bread with soft with a slight crisp edge. Can’t wait to try more on the menu!

Dos Batos has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Austin. The wood-fired tacos are on another level – perfectly cooked meat, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors that hit every time. The Hybrid Taco and the tortas are must-tries, and the tortillas taste like they were made just minutes before hitting your plate.
And do yourself a favor – ask for the green poblano salsa. It’s not on the menu, but it’s incredible and easily one of my favorite salsas in Austin, especially if you like spice. .

Very authentic tasting food with a flavor of northern Mexico. The wood fired tacos are my go-to. The tacos are pretty pricey ~$5, but they’re well served. I always get the topochicada which is a limeade with topo Chico. If you’re doing Keto, you can also get a carbless ‘cheese tortilla’ (Taco Loco). Every taco order also comes with chips and warm salsa, which makes it feels very homemade. The salsa verde they have at the counter is also hella good and spicy
This place is one of those places that aren’t too popular, but one my favorite spots in Austin.

We were worried when we saw Dos Batos had closed earlier this year as we use to live around the corner and loved the place. Tonight we found out the most likely reason that it had closed. The service is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. We ordered delivery through their website and there was an issue with the order. When we went to address it we got cut off twice from their assistant. We called the restaurant and the server said there’s no way she could help us, and was completely unwilling to assist us. When food order did arrive it was incorrect and missing items. I called to let them know and they said they gave it to the driver so it’s not their problem. The staff has no idea what they’re doing. Sorry to say that we won’t be ordering from them again. Sad because it used to be a great place
