I visited this establishment for lunch with my wife and had a pleasant experience. We were seated promptly. The server was attentive and served our beverages immediately. He thoroughly explained the menu.
The Horchata is delicious . It had a good taste, and I would order it again. I selected the Chimichangas from the buffet. My plate was full, and despite the buffet style, I did not eat much due to the filling nature of the meal.
The place was busy when we were there, but it didn’t affect the speed of our service. It did not affect the food in any way.
Contrary to most other reviews, we did not have a negative experience. I plan to return to determine if this was an isolated incident.
If reviews are unfavorable, perhaps efforts should be made to rectify the issues and invite dissatisfied customers to return.

Dos has a very interesting interior with a lot of detail. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly.
The tacos were good, and it is a convenient place to eat close to campus. The best deals are on Taco Tuesday, when tacos are just $3.25 each.

Place was beautiful.
Bathrooms need some work. Food was below average. Small entree and they load the plate with beans,lettuce and rice. My plate had a big chip/Crack on the corner and scratched me.
I got steak and 1/4 of it was inedible due to the amount of gristle. I don’t mind fat. Usually holds the flavor, that was not that.
Salsa was good. But half the chips tasted dirty, along with the water.

The request for tips is in your face the whole time. Order taking and cook are not tip jobs.
Burrito had a gallon of juice drip out of it. Other than that it tastes pretty good.
Wondering if he didn’t drain the juice from the chicken because of the lack of tip…???

I’ve lived in West Lafayette for 4 years now & come to this establishment often, usually I receive good & fast service. Tonight, I had the worst experience i’ve had at any restaurant. The server did not come to our table for the first 25 minutes of us being there, and when she did, she did not apologize for the wait or even greet us. Her attitude was awful & she was not friendly whatsoever. She handed me my own plate, rather than sitting it down on the table directly in front of her. She even handed me a bowl of jalapeños to hand across the table FOR HER. We asked her for boxes as she walked past our table, and we never saw her again. We waited 25 minutes again before going up front and asking for help from someone else, who was great & very apologetic but unfortunately the experience was already ruined.

It’s a nice spot with good service but the food was incredibly expensive for not being really good. While the atmosphere was great and on theme the cleanliness (such as the silverware and floors) of the restaurant should be questioned. If you don’t mind wasting your money on ok but authentic Mexican food, this is your place.

Normally when we go to Dos Amigos it is great. This night our server was barely available. When we were done eating I asked two different staff members for our waiter so we could pay and get to go containers. We watched as he was told we had asked for him. He then continued to clean 3 tables and other staff members brought us out to go containers. We finally got up to leave because we had tickets to a show at Elliott Hall, then he came up to us and tried to say they were busy so that’s why he didn’t get to our table. When my husband said that we watched him clean 3 tables after we asked for him, he got belligerent.
Love the food. Love the restaurant. But this waiter was terrible.

Went to this restaurant passing through the college town. Looks are most certainly deceiving . The restaurant is very colorful and decorative. Really loved looking at the restaurant decor. Our server was polite but that’s where the good ends. We waited over an hour to receive our food, food was bland with so seasoning . I ordered Birria tacos and they served it with broth because there is no way that was consume. They were even burnt. Meat was dry and overcooked on my daughter’s tacos. Was going to leave a $20 tip in cash just because the waitress was nice but someone at my table was confronted about how much they did not tip which I found very distasteful after the service was not amazing so I kept my tip . Would never return . Nice for pictures , make sure you eat beforehand

my friends and i came here tonight for margaritas and tacos, all of which were FANTASTIC. but then as we were driving away, our waiter ran across the ENTIRE parking lot because one of my friends forgot his wallet at our table. he was awesome and i wish we had gotten his name so i could mention it in this review. he’s our hero and i hope he knows he made our entire night. thank you!!!
