I stopped by on Wednesday to request donations for the school basketball team & decided to grab lunch. I came back today to receive the donation & decided to sit at the bar & grab a margarita (or 2 lol) and ended up meeting the owners. They were super nice, friendly and down to earth guys!! Glad I got the pleasure of having a conversation with such humble people ❤️

I told my friend I wanted Mexican for dinner and she took me here. And I am so happy she did, the service was great, the food amazing. I have eaten at a few Mexican restaurants in Tuscaloosa and Northport and in my opinion, Dos Amigos has been the best, from the chips to the margaritas to my fajitas.

Got a to go order and my husband got the shrimp and scallop fajitas and got half way through his food and bit into glass. Called back up there and the manager was nice but tried to say it was possibly from the package the scallops come in or from a plastic vase that was knocked over and broken before our son even got the bags, it was 100% glass without a doubt. We love this restaurant and have never had any issues but trying to blame it on our 13 year old is not the right approach. Something happened in the kitchen and he might not be aware after investigating but we’re beyond disappointed and hoping he doesn’t get sick or end up having to go to the hospital.

Patio area smelled of sewer. Ordered Taco Salad chicken. No sour cream. Cheese on side. Came as beef. Then obviously scraped off sour cream because it was still on inside of salad. Waiter was nice. No complaints with him. He was very patient with kids and our chaos.

Worst place I’ve ever experienced in the Tuscaloosa area. Not only did they not bring my appetizer but they didn’t have the food to make my meal. Then told me they had to go to PUBLIX to get the stuff. 10 mins later they came to table and told me that Publix didn’t have pineapples to make my dish. I told him I didn’t want anything else so they charged me $7.70 for 2 teas. It took the manager to get it fixed but the waiter told him we cancelled the appetizer which we didn’t. He plainly forgot. Along with my empty cup that sat at then end of the table for 25 minutes. Come on now. $7.70 for sweet teas. I won’t ever come back nor will I tell anyone to spend their money there. Better just pass it up and head to Jalapeños to get real service.

I would give 0 stars if I could! Female waiter got my order wrong and instead of saying sorry let me get that corrected, she walked away from our table and never came back!! I had to go ask for the manager who wasn’t in and still nothing was taken care of by anyone in that restaurant! We had to finally flag her down and make her take my food back and remove it from our ticket after she looked over at us several times and saw my plate untouched sitting on the edge of the table! I get we all have bad days but I would never treat someone like this! I worked in a Mexican restaurant myself and I always made sure my customers were well taken care of! Poor customer service including the girls up front smiling and giggling about it! Do better Dos Amigos

We ordered a California Burrito that had beef, shrimp and chicken in it. It was huge and fed me and my husband both! Delicious!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and don’t know why it doesn’t have a 5 star rating. It was really that good!
