Had the app nachos. They were ok, how ever it was boiled chicken with chips cheese sauce watered, more cheese sour cream and guacamole. The most basic you can get! Not impressed

This place was a great find! We were seated quickly when with the 6 people in our group. It was a really busy night and yet we got drinks and menus right away. Our food was fantastic! They gave us large portions (larger than we expected too) and it all tasted so great! We will totally eat here again when we are in town. Our server was really nice and she had a couple laughs with us too. She kept up on drink refills as well. Even though she was really busy.

Whole beans and salsa with the chips is different. But tasty too.
And I just can’t believe $3.49 for an ice tea. Beverage prices are ridiculous in almost all restaurants now. At least it had refills.
The atmosphere is quiet. The place is just not busy. Which gives you concern.
The staff was friendly. But no effort to exceed expectations. Even with only two other people(one table)in the place they didn’t want to help each other out.
Maybe that’s policy. IDK.
So far though, best food in town. Of the places I’ve eaten at.

The husband and I had to travel in the area from Michigan for his job and we were welcome to the restaurant by the owners. The father and the two sons are amazing people they are the utmost friendliest, kindest, most genuine souls we have ever met.
The food was delicious We recommend if you visit the area to stop in and not only dine in but stop in and meet the family they will welcome you with warm open hearts.

Great customer service. Chips and salsa are pretty good. I ordered the 3 tacos with Carne Asada, rice and beans. The tacos came with lettuce, tomatoes, chopped onions, sour cream, guacamole and cilantro. I also ordered a couple of frozen strawberry margaritas. I’ve been staying here at the Holiday Inn Express a few times and never knew there was a Mexican restaurant connected to it. There is also a casino connected to this hotel as well. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant when visiting Winnemuca and especially if you’re staying in this hotel.

It was mid. My husband likes it though. He loves the queso and shredded beef, that was pretty good. He got nachos and I got the presidente platter. The only thing I didn’t like was the green bean, carrots and peas in my Spanish rice. The Chile relleno was good it wasn’t over battered everything was steaming hot and cheesy . It was a little overwhelming for me I’m not sure why but it was good. the steak reminded me of when my family had their bbqs

I needed a “walk-to” place to eat while I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express, and Dos Amigos was right there. The service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, the place was super clean. I had a chile relleno, a spinach/mushroom quesadilla and some “whole beans” (aka “de la olla”). The food wasn’t expensive and it was all hot when I arrived. I’d for sure eat here again.

I stopped through Winnemucca as a truck driver and decided to give Dos Amigos a try. The photos from other Google reviewers convinced me, as the food on display looked really good.
The restaurant is tucked away behind a casino attached to the Holiday Inn Express. It is a modest dining space, nothing flashy but very casual. The service was very good. The waitress seated me promptly, was on top of drinks, and served the food surprisingly fast. Everything was meeting expectations.
I will preface this next part by saying I really wanted to like the food. Normal Mexican dishes that most Mexican restaurants in America are pretty hard to screw up. I got the Steal Mexicano which is a 12 oz T Bone smothered in onions and peppers. It tasted…well it tasted like nothing. None of the food had much flavor at all. It was all surprisingly bland. Before the steak, I had ordered a single beef taco to try because…well tacos. The beef was flavorless. I was kind of shocked because I really thought I was going to have an overall good meal here. The food looked amazing, but when it came to flavors, it just all fell flat.
Maybe other dishes are a little more flavorful but I left feeling a little disappointed.

Service was great, food was delicious. The chips and salsa were great. I had the quesabiria tacos and they were fantastic. Highly recommend.

The first staff told us there was nothing GF on the menu. Spoke to someone that knew more and they informed us that there was options. The portions are huge for the price you get. The food came out hot and tasty a must stop by if you are in town.
