Chimichanga was not very crispy. Food was otherwise pretty tasty. Tacos and carne asada are recommended. Fresh food. Very cold inside, it’s winter but not well heated.
Nice interior, though the tables are a little small when full, fun decorations.
No checking in from waiters after we ordered, except to bring food, until we were mostly finished eating already
No alcohol on the menu, but a lot of cocktails, smoothies and fresh juices, along with coffee and milk.
The menu layout was a little poor, the text was small and the font was a little difficult to read. The menus themselves were challenging to handle because of their size relative to the table space.

In my opinion, it’s extremely difficult to find a good Mexican restaurant.
we visited the 2nd day they were open my husband and I both ordered the tacos which came 3. You can choose the fillings. I got pulled pork, tofu and veggie. Tofu was my favorite. I got the jalapeno Marg, which was very tasty. the chips and salsa were also very good, which to me is very important! . for dessert we got the churros. They came hot with cream filling and fresh fruit on top, which was a nice addition. The only negative was the service. Unfortunately, the girls seem to not understand english that well. So when we tried asking a few questions, they couldn’t answer or said they didn’t know. The food was very good, so we will be back and we do recommended this spot for excellent Mexican food.

$21 for a pineapple margarita and $18 for a classic with arette tequila. This is a step above well and is $20 bottle there is no reason it should be so much. It’s sad to see this place try and price like it’s in nyc. The staff was very friendly though so it seems to be a management issue.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised and extremely pleased with Dos Amigos. Our meal began with complimentary chips and salsa and these were high quality. I could tell, just by the salsa, that the cook took pride in his food which made me intrigued about the dinner entrees. I ordered enchiladas with mole sauce and was very happy with the portion size, the visual presentation and the quality of the mole sauce and the chicken in the enchiladas. These were the best enchiladas I’ve had in quite some time. The accompanying rice and beans was also somewhat elevated in flavor which I appreciated.
The menu offered many standard fare items and some more creative dishes. I am eager to return to have the enchiladas again and to try other dishes on the menu. I high recommend Dos Amigos.

Usually wonderful food. Unfortunately my burrito was filled with burnt overcooked plantain, which I would never be mad about except it was dried out and burnt and overcooked mushrooms. Seems like it was leftover from the previous day and recooked. Really awful. My family’s meals were excellent as usual. Excellent service as always. Really nice place. Not sure why my meal was so bad.

Did not receive the food I ordered, other entrees tasted different than they had in previous experiences. Service was disorganized and took a long time. We had trouble with communication and understanding what we were ordering and what we needed. Had to ask for chips and salsa. Gave my two young children massive margarita glasses for their drinks, not thoughtful. The rice and beans were bland. One of our burritos came with beans when we specifically asked for no beans. Only brought out one serving of chips for 6 people :/ took over 10 minutes to get a lemonade. I wont be coming here again, not like it used to be.

We were charged different prices from the menu. Then they added their own tip to my receipt when I wrote right on it that the tip was on the table. To top it off the margaritas tasted different. When I told the waitress she smiled shrugged and walked away without saying anything, then we didn’t see her again til the bill came. Would not recommend solely based on customer service. Bad integrity to add more to your own tip when cash was left for you.

This restaurant has always been top notch. I haven’t been there in over a decade. Thursday nite, 5/22 I made reservation electronically, it was easy thru google.
The ambiance & service was impeccable.
The food if course was delicious. We both ordered chicken enchiladas, side salad, & he had margaritas. Both of our opinions were that they were the best chicken enchiladas that we each had. I wish I could say I took pix, but I didn’t and we were there to enjoy it.

We have driven by this place many times and finally decided to try it out. Weren’t disappointed! The complimentary salsa and chips were delicious. The enchiladas were solid and our kids loved their burritos & quesadillas! The setting is comfortable and festive. We will be back.
