I ordered a mixed dessert platter for a work event, and it was perfect! Rainbow cookies, cannolis, cream tarts, chocolate strawberries—you name it. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully arranged. This bakery is my absolute go-to for any work gathering.

Absolutely disaster of a location. Rudest manager and it’s unacceptable. I ordered my wedding cake tasting and they didn’t have the order. I even showed the phone number in my call log which she agreed is her number and out loud to all her employees said how I didn’t order a cake here mocking me. She tried to give me someone’s cake with a similar name as a cover up except it had nuts in it and my fiance is allergic so she wasn’t happy when I said that wasn’t my order. She said she’ll take the order now – when do I want it for? And when I said I need it for today I have my parents coming over she mocked me and said that’s useless because it’s a tiny amount of cake. She said her bakers aren’t in so I probably can’t get my flavors but what do I want? I tell her and she says I’m not saying you’re lying but I know you didn’t place this order here because at watermill you can’t get fruit. I said no I don’t mind paying extra. She said “honey it’s not about the money watermill doesn’t let fruit on the premise and my team knows not to take an order like that so you clearly didn’t order here”. She tried to make an absolute mockery and embarrassment out of me in front of the whole store. Thank goodness for the Huntington location who I called from the parking lot of the commack location and they said you CAN order fruit at an upcharge, and they will have all the flavors ready for me by tonight and they were so kind about it. NEVER go to the commack location this lady is an absolute disgrace , nasty and incorrect with all her information.

Extremely disappointed—there was visible mold on the cake when I opened the box. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about freshness and food safety. I literally went to the store and show them it and they just said “sorry” and went to the back room and didn’t come back out. They didn’t even offer me a cookie or anything for the inconvenience. I won’t be ordering from here again.

I use to love the cakes here I ordered a cake for my brother birthday and told them to cancel the cake since we weren’t going to celebrate till Friday 8-31-24. They said it was fine . My parent went to pick up the tres leches cake and we sang happy birthday and I took a bite of it as well as my younger brother and tasted weird like gui and sour I looked at cake and saw the fruits had fungus on it . The cake was bad I called and ask for the manager I told the girl what had happened and she said let me transfer to the manager when I already thought I was talking to the manager . She then said we will give you a free cake and a refund but had to bring the cake back so we drove about 25 minutes when we got there a girl said they were only giving us another cake and no refund . They didn’t even say sorry nothing . So we never got a refund but got another cake . The cake didn’t taste good either like the bread needed to be cooked more . So sad because this was our favorite spot to order cakes after this we notice it’s best we look for another place

✨ Today we want to share our experience at Dortoni Bakery (Commack).
We’ve bought their delicious pastries and cakes several times before, but today, October 17, was truly special.
We went with our 6-year-old son — the staff didn’t know, but our son is autistic — and we want to thank them for their excellent customer service.
The lady who helped us was very kind and patient. She took the time to listen and waited while our son decided which cookies he wanted. She smiled at him, spoke gently, and even made eye contact with him.
The rest of the staff, even while busy with their tasks, somehow made us feel right at home.
As parents of a child with autism, these small gestures mean so much to us.
They remind us that there are places in this world where our child will be accepted.
Thank you, Dortoni Bakery, for having such a wonderful team — and especially to the lady who helped us today at 9:20 a.m. — thank you for being so kind and caring.

So disappointed! Went in to Dortoni in Commack today looking for a cake to get for my birthday and the cakes looked awful! The only 2 that I was able to get looked ok. I could tell what was in the case was old because some of the cakes were cracked and some were leaking fluid. The girl took one out for me to look at and literally the entire bottom of the cake was wet and leaking around. I don’t know what is going on but this store sucks! I’m never going back again. I just hope the cakes taste good when I serve them. Even the help behind the counter was lackluster. These girls looked completely lost and more concerned with making themselves coffee than anything else! This place is not what it used to be!
UPDATE: Had the cakes and they were not at all what I was told they were inside. What was supposed to be a vanilla cake with fudge filling was a vanilla cake with some jam filling that was way too sweet and the other cake was hard as a rock! Do better Dortoni’s! This store sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely my favorite rainbow cookies. They probably have the best ones around. Only problem is the pricing is never the same. Every time I go, I get charged a different price per pound. I got tired of constantly asking what’s going on and being overcharged. The register also needs to be moved out of the corner where both counters meet. It’s in the worst spot, where everyone is funneled into some corner, all vying for one spot to pay. A simple fix would be 2 registers, as checkout takes forever. Pricing for the cookies need to be fixed. I stopped going due to this.

My wife and I recently had our sons christening and everything from the Church to the Restaurant was perfect and running smoothly. Until it was time for the cake. It was never made or delivered.
We had ordered a cake through Dortoni in Commack and scheduled it to be delivered to the restaurant between 1-3pm. It was 3:15pm and the cake wasn’t there. We were on the phone with Dortoni for close to 30 mins just for them to tell us it would not be delivered because it was never made. We were so angry and so embarrassed but luckily the Restaurant owner had a connection with Park Bake Shop in Kings Park and after discovering the horrendous news they saved the day and gave us a complimentary cake.
I’ve been a Dortoni customer for years and ordered plenty of custom cakes and I can assure you I will never order a cake through Dortoni again. This establishment really deserves one star.

I’m very disappointed I used to work for this bakery as a teen and when I went in to get a few cookies and a coffee , the staff never addressed me till the man next to me that came in after me said I was here first and the girl with mult hoop earrings asked me what do I want … and I asked for a few cookies and than she stated to give me a attitude bc she didn’t know what a chocolate macaroon was and than ordered a coffee and have to talk over people after she asked me mult times what I wanted in it . On top of the rudeness customer service the cookies taste stale and old. Nd it was 14 dollars for 7 lil nasty cookies and small cofeee ……. Don’t go here……
