Stopped here for lunch, the food was great for the most part. Highly recommend the broccoli cheddar bites!
The coleslaw was rather bland and bitter tho.
Chicken strips and onion rings were good. The fries were cold. Was slightly disappointed that gravy wasn’t included with the chicken strip box.

I stopped while working in Pikeville. I got a cheeseburger box. The burger and fries were delicious. The coleslaw was kind of bland.

Staff was friendly, food was awesome and reasonably priced. As we ate we noted that the staff was really taking good care of the cooking area, cleaning and maintaining. we were actually pretty impressed by their diligence to maintain a clean space despite being very busy. So props to those ladies! I don’t know their names but am giving the staff my best . Great Job, thanks for the service!

I’ve been to countless mom and pop restaurants all over the country, and few ever get 5 stars from me, but Dorsie’s is a rare gem.
No frills, just straight forward good comfort food, like your mom or grandma made for you, when you were not in the best mood and needed a pick-me-up.
Ordered a cheeseburger with the works, onion rings, and a Pepsi, was not let down in the slightest.
If I ever come back to Pikeville, I will most definitely be coming back, my only regret, is that I went to Dorsie”s my last day here.

Dorsies is a well known & beloved local landmark that serves exactly the types of
food that it looks like it would Burgers
crinkly fries & ranch/home/steak fries
footlong hotdogs ♥️ milkshakes ,
Custard ice-cream cones , sundaes , even old school, OG, traditional & gratefully overloaded BANANA SPLITS
p.s. coleslaw slays

Good ice cream. Ordered a veggie burger and it was just a bun and a think slice of tomato, huge chunk of onion, 1 piece of floppy lettuce. Not exactly what I expected. L. Ice cream was good though!

I went to this place a bit ago with my fiancée. There is nowhere inside to eat; the only options are a bench beside the restaurant or your car. There are some bleachers across the street from an old racetrack that was never taken down. My fiancée and I sat on those steps and ate, so it wasn’t terrible. I got the Triple Dorsie Burger Box, a strawberry shake, and a peach shake. Our total was $16, which was not terrible considering the times. However, the Dorsie “burger,” which should be called a slider, is honestly a little small. The food was not bad, but not very impressive. I thought the service was average—nothing extraordinarily good. My favorite part was, without a doubt, the milkshake, which makes sense for a dairy bar! I know I will be stopping by here for milkshakes again sometime!

My Dorsie’s experience was a pretty typical dairy bar experience. Service was good. The burger was ok, but not the best dairy bar burger I’ve had. Neither the burger or fries were as greasy as a lot of similar places. I would gladly eat here again.
