What a wonderful Italian dining experience!
From the beautiful rustic atmosphere to the delicious food, the restaurant makes you want to stay and savor every aspect of the meal, then plan for your inevitable return.
Adam was our server, and he took wonderful care of us!
We started with wonderful warm garlic rolls and marinara sauce, then a very nice bottle of Italian red wine.
The House and Caesar salads were good ways to prepare for the main courses.
I had the Crab and Lobster Ravioli which was spectacular, and my wife had the Tuscan Chicken that was equally as fantastic. The portion sizes were healthy, and we judiciously made sure not to overeat so that we could box up leftovers for tomorrow while allowing ourselves the ability to splurge on desserts.
I loved the mini cannoli while my wife was in heaven eating her tiramisu.
It was a perfect dinner date, and we will surely be back!

The salmon dish and the sausage with pasta were delicious. Everything was nicely seasoned and the portions were generous. The waitress and staff who brought our food were kind and helpful. The atmosphere was super. We listened to Hunter Blalock play his guitar and sing as we had dinner. It was soothing and helped add to the positive vibes. We were in Calhoun to see the New Echota Cherokee Capital Historic Site and Museum. We decided to do that as part of our family birthday celebration. It was a great vacation choice. We did a little shopping after we had dinner and looked around the town. People were cordial to us. We are telling family and friends we had a good experience in Calhoun. We also visited Etowah and drove over to Amicalola Falls. Thank you, Calhoun.

Well they exceeded my expectations. Atmosphere was great. Service was amazing. Food was delicious. I shared a meal and it was still way too much! So serving size is definitely adequate. I had dinner downstairs and went upstairs to the bar for more drinks. Everyone was so nice.

For a great Italian flavor, you cannot go wrong here. We try something different all the time, and we have never been disappointed. The bread comes out fresh and hot, along with everything else, always fresh. The staff is also very attentive.
Thus is a great place for casual dining, with shorts and a tee shirt to formal wear and anything in between.

We have eaten at a lot of different restaurants in our lifetime and I have to say by far, this is probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at! We were there around 3 o’clock in the afternoon and had amazing food and exemplary service! I also love old buildings like that, and exposed brick. Definitely one of my top five ever.!❤️

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough about this place. The ambience was absolute perfection, from the exposed brick walls to the upstairs seating and bar. The lighting was set perfectly. Our server was amazing , putting up with the many questions of my father in law, who is Italian and a former restaurant owner. (love that guy.) Even HE was impressed! We drove an hour from Ellijay to be here and it did not disappoint. Every one of our meals was just perfection. The desserts were SO good. I usually hate crème brule because it’s usually runny, but this had a thin, crisp skin that was absolutely delicious. I had the sea bass on a bed of grilled vegetables. It had the most delicious white cream sauce. I’d order it again in a heartbeat. My mother in law had chicken Alfredo and she raved about the white sauce (it may have been a Chardonnay sauce). My daughter and husband and both had the manicotti and it was amazing. My son had shrimp pesto and he absolutely loved it. He’s the picky one. The drinks were superb, the atmosphere was so enjoyable. This is a gem. If it were closer, we’d make it our place to go for every special occasion. I wish I’d gotten the ask the name of our waitress (served us around 5:30 on 8/30/25) but she was a doll. Super sweet, and everyone was.

We’ve been loyal Doros customers for a while now and usually go there to relax after a long week. Tonight was the first time we left confused and honestly disappointed.
The food had issues — our appetizer came out at half its normal portion and the server brushed it off. The ravioli dish she recommended had only four pieces and was completely overcooked, though the salad was great. Annoying, but nothing we would have complained about on its own.
The bigger problem was the service. We asked about a wine on the specials menu (“The Prisoner”) and were told they had it by the bottle and by the glass, so we ordered a glass. When the bill came, the wine was $10 more than listed. After asking, our server went to the manager and got it corrected, but returned and told us, “just maybe be a little more clear next time.” That comment sealed it — the attitude had been there all night, but that made it obvious we weren’t imagining it.
We genuinely love Doros and hope this was just an off night, but this experience really missed the mark.

We have been to Doro’s several times and have never had a bad experience. Sandra and the other staff are always AMAZING. This is our go to place for celebrating special occasions! Everything we have ever tried has tasted fresh with quality ingredients. Love the cozy atmosphere for a quick date night. Well worth the money!!
