A great local spot in D’berville to try some local tamales.. I loved that they were fresh and hot and it was very vey yummy. Tamale wasnt too doughy and it had a good ratio of meat inside. Super kind ladies Mary and Shanna (owners daughter) and gave me more local tips on upcoming Mardi Gras parade
Parking on the side is fine and they do cash only. $10 for half a dozen and $20 for dozen . $1.6 for each tamale
I think they meant to give me 6 tamales instead of 4 so I was little sad because I wanted to eat more haha but no worries! Will come back here again

Update – I just love this place. Literally always greeted with a smile and kindness and absolutely delicious tamales. Another wonderful visit. I will definitely be back.
Mississippi hot tamales at their finest. The owner was polite, kind and full of smiles. Great people great story as it’s a family business of multiple generations. Anywhere that can be in business for decades and only sell one food item says it all. Fantastic tamales. I can’t wait to come back 🙂

This may be a small family owned business with a wall up window but don’t let that fool you. They do one thing (Tamales) but they do it right. Ordered 2 dozen to share with friends for Super Bowl. Was a fav for all of us. Come early they do sell out. Also you can do as we did and call before to validate availability and hours of operation. Next day placed them in a steamer for reheating. $18 a dozen.

I’ve been trying to stop by 4x’s now. Finally made it out here on a Tuesday. Great place to buy some homemade tamales on the go. Sat outside with my loved ones and ate the goodness Doris and her family have made for us. Very cute little place to eat and enjoy quality time at. The street is even named after Doris!! How cool is that!?

Doris’ Hot Tamales is a great little spot on the coast. There are not a ton of tamale joints on the Coast so it is nice to grab a few of these when we are around. They are definitely more expensive than other tamales, probably a lot more expensive than they are worth. They are milder tamales as well so they are great for anyone who doesn’t love spicy. I always polish off about a half bottle of hot sauce with these.
I gave three stars because Google is dumb and won’t let you do half stars.

Best tamales I’ve ever put in my mouth. Have an outage here with Mississippi Power and we all eat here. RJ is the bomb. Knows how to roll them like her mom Doris did. If you have never ate these , then your missing out. They are the best .
