Myself and a few friends celebrated my birthday on Friday night.
The ambience was excellent; chilled but lively, classy and fun. The guests and staff were diverse in age and race which I appreciated.
There was a like musician who played the saxophone over some very engaging songs
Patrons were friendly, staff was attentive, and parking was free and close to the entrance.
This is more my speed, and I think if you’re looking to enjoy a good atmosphere without the inconvenience of the traditional clubs, this will be your choice also!

I went to Dorav Parlor Bistro this past Sunday, for a quick catch up with my friend, and the food was incredible!!! Chef Nicole came to our table and whipped us up this delicious meal that was not on the menu! She will be incorporating a few Jamaican dishes on the menu starting this Sunday. Beautiful and classy establishment that is great for date night or ladies night! I will return on a night they have live music! 10 out of 10! Reservations encouraged.

I reserved a table for 14 for my birthday and an email was sent two weeks later to confirm. I had a party bus with 12 of my friends arrived at Darav Bistro ready to party, only to be met with lights off and doors locked.
As we stood in utter disbelief of what was happening, another party arrived wondering the same thing only he called the owner and allowed him to speak with me. I was advised that they tried to call me day off to see if I was still coming. Hmmm, I didn’t get a call but this is disturbing because my reservation was confirmed weeks ago. And is this not a lounge open for business on a normal Saturday night? Your hours say that you are. I’m not sure why not speaking with me on the day of my reservation constituted the lounge not being open for business. I was highly inconvenienced as my party had to scramble to find somewhere to go before having to be taken back home by the party bus I rented. And then the owner never reached out and asked how could he make it right. What kind of “upscale” pretend business is this???

My surprise engagement party continued at this place…. and what a great time we had!!! The band, service and drinks were superb! It was an intimate, fun and elegant experience! The staff was helpful and friendly. Several of my guests now plan to use this venue for their celebratory events! If you’re looking for a grand time, look no further… DPB is EVERYTHING!

So I frequent here often for the chill atmosphere, upscale vibe and the awesome classy house band 400 Proof ( this band is EVERYTHING!!! Look em up!!!) and let me tell you…I had to write a review today. Our waitress Victoria…extremely attentive, very accommodating and super pretty to boot! She made an already fabulous time even more stellar. Her professionalism shined the entire night and although we weren’t actually sitting in the VIP area we were made to feel very important our entire stay. If you’re looking for great service, tasty food (I’m vegan and though the pickings were slim the Dorav salad popped off!!) Dorav parlor is where to relax after a long week and you’re looking to unwind with class. Did I mention my cocktail had Haitian rum in it, the best rum in the world (yes im Haitian!!)??!? Don’t hesitate. Gather some friends and head on over. Make an impression and enjoy yourself at the same time!

This place is a gem. The ambiance was high class with a talented wait staff. You are treated to a menu that can sate any palate. The four piece live music band was great playing a number of world beat hits. The live DJ gave mixes from Africa to the Caribbean. His taste was eclectic and every song was enjoyable. Definitely one of my top experiences of the year.
