We really love this place! We come here often sometimes with friends, sometimes just the two of us and it never disappoints. There’s a huge variety of food at different price points, so everyone can find something they like. The appetizers are generous, and the selection of rolls, sashimi, and other dishes is impressive. Everything always tastes fresh and delicious.
The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very nice it’s comfortable both inside and outside seating, which we really enjoy depending on the mood and weather. It’s just a great spot to relax, enjoy good food, and spend time together.
Desserts are also quite good, which is a nice bonus after a big meal. Overall, a wonderful place that we’re always happy to come back to!

This is an excellent sushi spot, shout out to Brooke for amazing service. The ambiance is wonderful and I get the feeling you can’t go wrong with anything you order.
The hamachi carpaccio was such an incredible appetizer, I can’t recommend it enough. Also, the God of Fire Roll and Hamachi Garlic Roll are a must (they pair great together).

Doraku Sushi in Kapolei is outstanding and quickly became one of my favorite spots on the island. The God of Fire roll is a must try, bursting with flavor and just the right amount of heat. Their sashimi and nigiri are impressively fresh and beautifully presented, making each bite memorable. Beyond the sushi, their bourbon and whiskey selection is excellent, including unique barrel picks that you will not find anywhere else. The service was equally impressive, especially Chelsea at the bar who made the experience even more enjoyable with her attention and hospitality. I would happily recommend Doraku Sushi to anyone looking for top quality sushi, a thoughtful drink selection, and warm service.

In town on vacation and wanted sushi. My husband had been here previously for work and had good things to stay so we brought the family this time.
I was a little nervous at first because I wasn’t really getting family friendly vibes but it was a great experience from start to finish and A LOT of it was thanks to our waiter Richie.
Richie helped me find something on the menu that my kids might like and got their food out to us quickly. He checked in with us regularly and was just overall very accommodating.
The food was also delicious! Highly recommend! Especially is Richie is working!

Do not be fooled into thinking this is only a sushi place, based on the restaurant name. Doraku offers excellent Japanese food well beyond sushi. All the tempura items were delicious–light, not greasy. The cauliflower was especially good, as was the very fresh shrimp. The portions were generous, without being too much (no one wants leftover fried food the next day.) The atmosphere was very nice, if a bit loud. Felt like we were in a nice restaurant, not a place that was part of a strip mall. We would eat there again and would recommend it to friends.

Came in on a Monday for lunch. We were sat and served quickly. Much appreciated as we came with our baby. Nice staff, delicious food and good ambiance. Booth seats are hard and a bit uncomfortable, other than that everything was great. The special salmon roll was yummy. Though everything we ordered was perfect.

Visually, nice place, service and food lackluster. Ordered sake flight (good, I got a little tipsy), rack of lamb and waited close to an hour if not that. Came out luke warm and under seasoned. Server was the bartender so we didn’t really see him while others walked around aimlessly with nothing to do it seemed. Also ordered garlic chili wings and tempura brownie to go have yet to taste them was just so ready to leave I barely ate. I packed to go and scurried out. I wouldn’t return

Came in for lunch this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. People are sleeping on the great lunch combos. For $30 I got a soup, salad, California roll, 3 pieces of sushi, and 6 pieces of sashimi. All the fish was fresh and both the salad and soup were yummy. Our server was friendly and attentive. The place was completely empty and I hope this was a one off. Restaurant and bathroom were clean and the ambiance was great. A good experience overall.
