I visited during a November 16th packer game just before noon gametime and it was pretty quiet customer wise. I was served a refreshment promptly and was seated. I ordered the fried potato skins off the game day menu and they were seriously delicious! The axe throwing stalls and golf simulators had a couple people using them. Service was great all around and I will definitely consider a future visit.

First time trying DC Sandbox. The food portions were impressive in size. My Dad enjoyed his double smashburger. He said it was juicy. The nachos are large. The crumble cheese over the top was odd. The axe throwing looked cool and the golf simulators looked nice. Our service was good. We will return and give it another try.

8 months ago went there to try it out. Service and food was excellent. Tonight it was literally empty when we got there and it took 40 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. They were not good at all. Don’t know what happened in 8 months but not sure if we’ll be going back.

First time here. The bartender was friendly. The wait staff was OK, but didn’t know the specials and didn’t seem too thrilled to have to find out. I ordered the Reuben, but was disappointed as the meat tasted funny. Otherwise the portion size was fine. If I would ever go back again I would order something different. Otherwise, the lunch was great as I got to spend time with friends!

The food here is amazing! The facility is clean and well-maintained. It’s a great place to stop and eat on a date, with friends or co-workers, and family friendly. Whether you’re stopping by for a bite to eat or feel like having fun swinging clubs or throwing axes, it’s sure to be a good time for all!

Fairly new venue in Sturgeon Bay. Virtual golf, ax throwing, restaurant, bar, and banquet hall. The place is huge. We just had lunch here. Jalapeno burger was very good. Recommended.

Overall, DC Sandbox has been an excellent addition to Sturgeon Bay! I’ve never experienced an issue with the food quality, or mistakes being made. It’s also nice to have something to do in town (ax throwing) – especially for us locals during the winter!
However, I do think improvements could be made to staffing and customer service. While I don’t find that the servers or bartenders are ever rude in any way, they can certainly be inattentive. I’ve gone in to pick up a take-out order and not been offered a drink (an easy upsell,) I’ve waited 10 minutes for a drink before, waited a long time for a sauce cup, etc. I don’t mind waiting, ESPECIALLY if it is busy, but at DC Sandbox, it becomes excessive. That said… the apparent inattentiveness MIGHT stem from a lack of staff or poor scheduling decisions. On Labor Day, there was ONE server/bartender working during dinner! ONE person to take all of the orders in a FULL dining room AND make the drinks. This is not feasible even for the most skilled and experienced employees.
Understanding that the workforce is difficult to navigate these days – improvements to customer service overall and perhaps stronger scheduling to avoid delays would easily bump this up to a 5-star in my book!

Great spot! First time there, the wraps are great and axe throwing was fun. They give you a throwing star as a second option as well. Next up will be the inside golf they have next.
