Earlier in the day my husband and I were across the street and could smell this delicious Smokey meat scent. I looked around and saw Doolittles. It was our 37th anniversary and so we decided to go there for dinner that evening. I’m SO glad we did! The smoked chicken is the best I’ve ever tasted. It was not dry at all and the flavor was melt in your mouth good. The crusted Walleye was also excellent. I seldom eat fried food because it’s often so greasy. That was not the case with this meal! It wasn’t greasy at all. The fish was tender, flaky and moist, just perfect. Along with my meal I enjoyed their Buttered Blueberry Old Fashioned. This drink has a lovely unique flavor. For dessert we chose their carrot cake. You do not want to miss out on this wonderful nut free dessert. Oh! And their patio is very nice to enjoy a meal on lovely days.

The service was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Our server did come to the table a little too often but I’d rather have that than none at all. The atmosphere was peaceful and enjoyable. Decor was fun to look at. Lots of seating. It’s a good idea to make a reservation otherwise the wait time could be up to an hour. The food, well, I was disappointed. We ordered our Ribeye steak rare. It came extra rare or what is called “blue”. Should have been grilled for another 3-4 minutes. The broccolini was el dente and didn’t taste good to me. The roasted potatoes were pretty good. Had to add some salt and pepper to everything. The pork belly apple cider mashed appetizer was good. Loved the rotisserie grill, that was cool. If I were to dine here again, I think I’d order either a chicken meal or burger meal.

We’ve always enjoyed Doolittle’s—especially the Eagan location, where the service has been nothing short of excellent. That’s why we were so disappointed by our experience at the Golden Valley location.
From the start, the service was disorganized and slow. The table we sat on was dirty. We waited far too long for our food, and when the wings finally arrived—the item we always come for—they were severely undercooked. We had specifically asked for them to be well done, but the meat was still pink inside, and some pieces even had blood oozing out. It was completely unappetizing
When we tried to have the issue addressed, the waitress appeared dismissive and acted as though she couldn’t understand my parents because of their accents—though they were speaking clearly. I had to step in multiple times just to make sure we were heard. Her attitude felt condescending and disrespectful
The manager eventually came over and promised the wings would be remade properly. Unfortunately, what came back was the opposite of what we asked for—the wings were burnt to a crisp, dry, and inedible. When we pointed it out, we were told that we “asked for well done”, as if that justified serving burnt food
This experience was deeply disappointing and embarrassing, especially for what was supposed to be a Mother’s Day celebration. The lack of care, respect, and professionalism from the staff ruined the entire meal. Do better, Doolittle’s

Oh my holy chicken!
The rotisserie chicken… one of the best chickens I have ever had. It was just awesome. I’m usually a rib guy, so I ordered the chicken rib combo… I wish I took all chicken! Don’t get me wrong, the ribs were good, but the chicken was amazing!

WOW! Top notch service!!!
Our steak came out medium well when we ordered medium rare. Ashton noticed immediately before I even mentioned it and quickly was willing to have it re-made. The manager came out and served us our new steak which was cooked right. Ashton also offered to give us complementary dessert because the entrees took a while to come out. This was an extremely thoughtful gesture, and won us over. This set apart this place from others.
The wings here are always delicious. The mudslide pie recommended by our waiter was also delightful.

We loved the idea that the restaurant serves charcoal grill chicken. It was our first time. Atmosphere is very nice. Was so crowded since it’s Saturday. Service was excellent. Waitress was super friendly. But nothing special in the chicken taste you don’t even feel it’s charcoal grilled chicken. We had half chicken. And chicken wings I vote for the chicken wings more. Chicken wasn’t cooked enough and when we informed them they said it’s normal to have it pink from the inside. Overall everything was good and good to try it if you were in Eagan. 52$ for half chicken with extra side salad. And chicken wings.

Came here with my Mom for my Birthday! We had the best service and the food was delicious! We had the chicken, potato’s and green beans. With a complementary Mudslide which I had with the coffee. It was wonderful! Thank you so much for making my Birthday special!

This is a beautiful restaurant and I can see why some people come here often. Food can be a bit pricey but some happy hour options are reasonable. The best thing we ordered was the Brussel sprouts appetizer. These things never look good but it tasted so flavorful! I ordered a Cajun pasta, which is just ok. I took home half of it and couldn’t even be bothered to finish the leftovers… the calamari breading kept coming off. There are other interesting dishes so I’m not completely ruling out eating here again but based on what we ordered, it was just OK.

We were there on a Thursday for lunch. Our server, Ashleigh was amazing! Very personable and attentive. I had the Parmesan crusted walleye dinner, it was delicious! I ordered a pineapple margarita and Ashleigh said she never made one before, but she figured it out and it was fabulous. Will definitely be going back again ♥️

Very positive experience. We had reservations since there was 20~ish in our party. Our servers were great. Decor was welcoming/homey. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was good. Food was very good as well. There was a bar area with TVs. Definitely would recommend.
