Reviews
(Might be our fault for having kebabs as starters).
The mango chicken kebab was absolutely fantastic, probably the best thing I ate whilst in Dublin.
Fancy restaurant inside, clearly a popular date spot too.
Not a cheap one but well worth it
If you are looking for AUTHENTIC Indian food, Doolally is NOT the place to go to. There are several other places in Dublin that offer way better food at a better price.
The atmosphere was great very tasteful but I felt the menu was underwhelming and made to fill u up with “non costly items” … fries lots of nan bread lentils we had to share the rice vs. Each got his own … dessert was just ok the mains was the best but I was looking at other tables and food looked much much better for that price we ended up paying 100pp with drinks etc. For what it was I felt not good value for money a cheap and cheerful local Indian would have given us much more maybe they just cater for smaller groups and food from regular menu much better but Xmas menu was meh average at best like Indian food from a buffet at an airport business class lounge … it could be vastly improved we had a good night nontheless
I used to eat here or order take out every week or two, and this is the first time back when visiting home after almost 2 years and everything is still great: Atmosphere, service and especially the Paneer Makhni is still incredibly good and flavoursome.
When the food arrives the conversation around the table almost dies down, which is a sign of great food. The last time I was here I had Tangra Chili Chicken as a starter and Butter Chicken with basmati rice and garlic naan as main course. All I’d happily order again!
