We always stop by here on our way home to Corpus Christi, we have a lake house in Somerville. The food is always great, the waitresses always friendly, and the place is kept real clean.

Don’t eat here! They were friendly to a point then bam, not! I ordered scrambled eggs, grits, toast and bacon. The eggs were loaded with shells, and bacon had some sort of something attached to it. I ate 2 pieces of toast, 1 piece of bacon and maybe a 1/4 of grits with eggs in it till I found all this in my food. And to add salt, he wouldn’t comp my meal!!! Oh yea, service not good either!!

Stopped here with a Scout Troop on the way back from camp. We had a large group with 14 people. They were pretty nice and accommodating. Everyone liked what they ordered. The portions are large. I ordered the biscuit & gravy with 1 egg bacon and cheese. I added a side of hash browns. The biscuit comes with the gravy, eggs and cheese piled on top. The biscuit was really good. The gravy was creamy. We also ordered a cinnamon roll. It tasted good, just wish it was warm. The food came quick for such a large group too. This place is a pretty safe bet for breakfast while traveling.

A hidden gem between 7 miles south of Giddings, TX off HWY 77. They have RV sites for daily or monthly use and Cabins for monthly rentals. Tent camping also available.

Found this place on our way home from visiting Fredericksburg and Austin. Definitely a great place to stop at and have a quick bite to eat. There wasn’t a wait and the staff is super friendly. Definitely a local stop but a must. Food was also up to par.

My friend used to invite me to breakfast here. Truck driver and his wife. He really liked eating here. He’s dead now. His wife move away. When I’m missing Alan, I come here and have breakfast. Well, apparently my children found out about this restaurant through their babysitters, and they like it also. But lately, there’s been a change in the atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s the people. The customer service is terrible. Body language is bad, disposition is even worse. Just a low down hate filled atmosphere. I felt rushed. They acted like they couldn’t be bothered with giving us decent service. I felt unwelcome and…I mean it was bad. Bad, bad. I will never step foot back into this breakfast spot again.

Wow, I am so happy that I found this place! The breakfast was delicious and came out very quickly. The coffee was delicious, also. The place was not much to look at, but who cares. The locals were dining there, that’s how you know you’re at the right place! For people that aren’t locals: When you enter, seat yourself and pay and the front register. We sadly did not try their donuts, but they looked delicious!

Had a lunch including a patty melt, fries and chicken soup to start. Was good for the price, about 10 bucks with tea. This is a no frills good place to sit down, get served and eat. It’s on a Main Street. Easy to get in and out. Mask wearing is required and there is plastic sheeting between many of the tables.
