Stopped for donuts this morning. Very nice variety and the donuts that we tried tasted very fresh. The plain cake donut was was SOOOO good! Crispy on the outside and soft and fresh inside. The kolache was also very good!! We’ll be back!

**UPDATE** I moved the stars up because I was contacted and they said they would inform the staff to stop doing this when paying with a debit card. I will return since I live nearby to see if they did correct this problem. Thanks for the response.
I will start off by saying the service is great and the donuts are great. HOWEVER, they are not following Louisiana law when it comes to charging credit card fees! Yes in Louisiana you can charge a “credit card fee” IF the customer is using a credit card for payment. HOWEVER, if they pay with a debit card, it is ILLEGAL to charge any type of fee to cover the debit card usage. Just look it up! The owner needs to look into this before they join the other Mandeville businesses that are thinking they are allowed to charge a fee when payment is via DEBIT CARD. As you can see with my attached receipt, I paid with a debit card and was charged a “3% credit card fee” for using it which wasn’t how I paid. Bad way of doing business.
Read below concerning businesses classifying debit cards as credit cards. Spread the word to all businesses.

But it’s important to understand that surcharging is only legal on credit cards. Merchants cannot legally surcharge debit cards, prepaid cards, or benefits cards issued by the government (like EBT cards).

I give this place 2 stars simply for the buttermilk drops. The regular glazed donuts had mold on them and had to be thrown out. This was my first and now last time to get donuts from here. After reading some of the comments I can see this has been an issue before.

Donuts are good, but customer service is lacking. Employees need better training on allergens present in the store. The creamer they have for their coffee is a Nut Pod product and says “almond and coconut” on the package, but the employee helping me insisted that it did not have nuts. Then she would not take the coffee off the order when I asked, so I’m now stuck with an over priced coffee.

Absolutely excellent establishment. Awesome staff every time I’ve been they are welcoming, helpful, friendly, and so kind. My nieces request every year because they get invited behind the counter and can fill a bag with as many donuts as they can fit – any and all – no questions asked. It is an experience worth the time, and the quality, flavor, and price is worth it every other day of the year. I live in Houston now, but I make a point to stop by when I’m in town.
Other noteworthy – clean bathrooms and inside, patio seating, great variety and selection. ALWAYS delicious and fresh. they have a drive through too!
