Don’t Bite The Bone BBQ, February 4, 2026 at 2:58pm Me & my daughter wanted to try this place out because I saw it on the news & so we did we both got the Combo Plate 1 meat & 2 sides. So I got the Pork Ribs & Potato Salad & Coleslaw & my daughter got the Tri Tip & Bacon Mac & Cheese & Rice Pilaf & our drinks. So the ribs were very tender & had a very good flavor with or without the BBQ Sauce & the Tri Tip again was very tender & very tasty with or without the BBQ Sauce & we both liked the potato salad with good flavoring & the coleslaw was on spot also but the bacon mac & cheese & the rice pilaf it was a no go for us! We even tried the Texas Twinkies 1 each they have very good flavor so we really did enjoy them & with the combo plate you get two slices of white bread & a small container of bbq sauce & a small container of pickles slices Thank You & ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐’s

Super legit Texas BBQ restaurant! This is for sure one of the top BBQ places in Calefornia and so far the best BBQ I’ve had in Cali – no doubt! Friendly staff, quick service and generally a cool place.
I ordered:
– Brisket (good bark, good fat render, perfect smokey flavor)
– Spareribs (smokey, tender, meaty and a little sweet. Delicious!)
– Cheddar&Jalapeño sausages (juicy, cheesy and Smokey. Very legit BBQ sausage! Personally prefer a more coarse grind, but that’s just a personal preference)
– Texas Twinkie (VERY delicious! Perfect balance between bacon, jalapeño, filling and seasoning!)
– Potato salad (good potato salad. Would benefit from a little more seasoning, but still good)
– Bacon Mac & Cheese (very good dish! The addition of bacon instantly sets it apart from other M&C’s, in a good way)

Total cost 60$

Good food and friendly people . I had the 2 meat combo with ribs and brisket. The ribs were tender but with no grilled char. I love a good char on my ribs and meat. My side was mac n cheese with bacon, it was creamy and delicious. I will be coming back!

Food was good to try at least once. The pricing is honestly decent because you get a good portion of food more importantly a good portion of meat. I would say the only thing is the service wasn’t the best we didn’t feel welcomed coming in or leaving the restaurant. We weren’t greeted coming in & barely acknowledged. I have personally worked In customer service myself and that was just an unpleasant feeling, the ONLY REASON WHY I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

OMG! What a find! Often…well ok always when I’m traveling I seek out new restaurants, particularly BBQ and Pizza. In this case it was BBQ and boy was I happy for that decision. We were staying in Visalia for a job and I found Don’t Bite The Bone via a google search. The ratings and pictures helped make the decision. We traveled North on the 99 for a bit and I began to wonder did we make the right decision. We did. Upon arrival it looks very much like a truck stop, which can be a good thing. Near the entry that familiar awesome fragrance told me we were at a proper BBQ destination. The dining area, sparce but clean and proper. I chose the Pulled Pork which is my go to for every BBQ place I visit. The sandwich comes with a side and I always choose the Cole Slaw if available. I was not disappointed as the portion was quite generous and I loved the Cole Slaw. I added some of their spicy proprietary BBQ sauce and every bite was delicious. My co worker ordered the Brisket and I have to say that when I go back…and go back I will…I’m definitely going to try the Brisket! The staff was friendly and engaging and the whole experience was beyond my expectations. If you are traveling south past Fresno and you are hungry for BBQ, Don’t Bite the BBQ is your place to visit. You won’t be disappointed!

The ribs were extremely tender. The sauce was great nice and sweet. The Smokey flavor was too overpowering in my opinion and I wouldn’t return. Just not for me. The customer service was great. They moved very quickly and were extremely efficient.

My wife and I went Saturday Nov 8th. We bought one brisket sandwich with a side of Cole Slaw, which had no flavor and a $3.00 bottle of Costco water (REALLY!!) The brisket sandwich was really good, but splitting the order didn’t leave us satisfied. So, we ordered another Brisket Sandwich with a side of Potato Salad, which was more like a ball of Mashed Potatoes with some mustard added for coloring. Absolutely no flavor. WORST EVER! Hats off to the Brisket, but your sides dishes SUCK. All this for $42.00. Too pricey for us, especially with the low quality of the SIDE DISHES. We will not go back. I’ll stick to MY Cole Slaw dressing and my wife’s Potato Salad, which is to die for.
