When you’ve served Cajun meals as long as we have, you learn the difference between real food and a bland imitation, and our guests know it too. Grilled, fried or on ice–there’s time cooked into every dish and time spent on every home cooked recipe, so that every aroma, every bite, every sip and every gathering is memorable. We’ve spent more than 80 years creating a recipe for something much greater than a place for a lunch break or night out. It’s a place to share (or keep the whole plate to yourself), a place where you always have a seat ready at the table and a place where you’re always part of the family.

We didn’t have a clue where to go and a friend recommended Don’s and it was absolutely PERFECT. We had a large group and were treated fantastically. The food was exceptionally good and the service even better. What a great time with my friends and family from different states!!

Traveling for work and wanted good Cajun food. Ordered the seafood gumbo. It has a very nice authentic roux and great flavor. It came out hot but I like my gumbo piping hot, but the flavor was great. I then ordered the fried shrimp. Small order, I was told 7 shrimp but it only came with 6, waitress offered to get me more but 6 was enough. Also ordered onion rings which tasted fantastic. Ordered the turtle cheesecake. It was good.

Went for half off oysters. The wait time was very good considering how busy they were. The food was good. The prices were a little expensive but not horrible. Overall good experience !

Went here on Sunday 12/28. Ordered Salmon. Salmon was raw, the waitress Bailey who was incredible said, “omg, let me tell my manager” she asked if I wanted another I said no, just take something off the bill, I wasn’t expecting them to comp the whole meal, which tbh they should’ve considering the raw fish, but the manager never came to the table and only took off 5.00. I didn’t say a thing bc I know how restaurants like to stereotype. But taking off 5.00 for a raw dish is insane. I’ve been here several times but I for sure wont be back. This wouldn’t have happened in Denham or Covington. The manager here should be ashamed of themselves

Very good Louisiana seafood expierence. Very fresh shrimp. Seafood platter had a great variety of items including deep fried stuffed soft shell crab. Excellent service, bartenders very engadging.
