Meanwhile, the hostess bugged us 3 times that our table was ready despite being told that we wanted our drinks at the bar first (which we had to close before moving).
Get to the table, very nice dining room with friendly staff … when they were around. We waited nearly 30 min to be able to place our order and nearly an hour for the Somm.
Warm bread was addictive and the crab cake was wonderful. Both salads were insanely over dressed (should have been a warning). We shared the ribeye special and it was so over salted that it was inedible, and also quite over cooked. It took a while but we did flag down our server and sent it back. The replacement was a bit less salty but still over seasoned. Manager offered additional sides on the house but didn’t have room for that. In the end, the was no offer of dessert or any comp on the bill. In fact, they charged us for two steaks (including the one we sent back). Got that fixed and left feeling that it was not a premium experience despite the bill. Can’t recommend Don’s but do go to the bar.
The cocktails were amazing especially the winter solstice.
Our table was not available at the time of our reservation and we had to wait an extra 40 minutes even with reservation.
We had some leftover to take home and I was not impressed by the packaging. That is definitely an area of improvement.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous however, there is an overall lack of attention to detail and pride in upkeep that’s noticeable, which is a shame since it’s relatively new. However, I loved the feel of the napkins.
Service was very nice but slow. There were large noticeable gaps where we were just waiting for them. For instance the hostess doesn’t give you a menu, and we had a long gap waiting for the staff to bring us a cocktail menu.
Food was VERY disappointing in flavor but lovely presentation.
Bread service- the pretzels are excellent. The pull apart bread was dry.
Shrimp- tough and flavorless
Mushroom Risotto- bland
Potatoes Au Gratin- excellent
Bone in Ribeye- average, leaning toward B-
The staff was apologetic about the mushroom risotto and offered veggies as a replacement which was nice.
Bar service- strong drinks, nicely made and presented nicely..they took a while to get ( we were on our second bottle of water before they arrived)but not sure if that was the bar or our servers.
Staff did bring a celebratory cake which was nice. The cake wasn’t great.
We live here and have been to many restaurants, specifically steakhouses..their prices are higher than other steakhouses but the food pales to their competition.
For our mains, I had the NY Strip and my wife had the Rib Cap, both Au Poivre Style. They were perfectly cooked and absolutely amazing.
The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening even better. We really enjoyed everything and will definitely be back!
