The food was amazing. Ordered a burger with mac and cheese on the side, which tasted amazing. Staff was kind too and helpful. A small negative thing that ended up being funny was how the toilets got automatic light switch where the lights randomly turned off while using the toilet, and it was pretty hard to make it turn on again . Other than that, I had a great experience with a great location

We visited lastnight as we were craving meat and it was our last night in Rome. We found this place on google and decided to try it out. Very quiet and spacious. We ordered the chicken wings and bone marrow as our appetisers and then sweet potato fries, loaded fries, short ribs and the steak for our mains and omg best short ribs and steak we’ve ever had! So tasty and juicy. We were very satisfied and absolutely enjoyed our meal. The chicken wings and bone marrow were also very yummy. If we ever return back to Rome, we will definitely be visiting this place again.

Place was practically empty when we were in. I can only imagine due to them not serving pizza and pasta like 1m other places in Rome. I know that’s what you come for bit you do need the occasional break.
Superb food, immaculate restaurant and lovely staff. The short rib was amazing.

Whenever I travel I make it a point to visit some place that serves spare ribs. I looked this place up on TripAdvisor and it was very highly praised. Until now the dining experiences have been great in Rome.
However, I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that the reviews praising this establishment are not recent. The prices aren’t too bad, but the service is very wanting + the place was empty?
When we ordered truffle fries INSTEAD of potato skins, we got both and were charged with both. The server said he didn’t understand and that they were “standard”, whatever that means.
Then when we ordered the mains, I got my ribs, but my fiance got a cheeseburger with pickles. That was despite us both explicitly stating our request to not put pickles in the burger and the server confirming what we said by repeating it.
The spare ribs were alright and the potato foods were good, but for the price and the reviews the overall experience left us wanting.

The steak frites at Don’s meats and wines is perfect and always cooked well! I have come to this restaurant a few times now for lunch and dinner and always enjoy the food. The waiters are super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I always get served quickly and the food also doesn’t take long to come out.

We visited Don’s – Meats & Spirits during our time in Rome and had a pleasant experience. The burgers were flavorful and satisfying, while the chicken tenders, although juicy, had breading that was a bit over-fried for our liking. The fries complemented our meal nicely. Overall, our experience was enjoyable but not particularly standout. Given that this was our only burger experience in Rome, it’s challenging to make a direct comparison. In terms of value for money on an international scale, I’d say it’s average.

It was very quiet when we went in, but the service was still very slow considering. We ordered a bottle.of wine which we had to chase up as it hadn’t come out, only to then be told it’s because they didn’t have that wine. The food was really good, and we came here because my husband had been here before and raved about the food, but the atmosphere and the slow service let it down on this occasion. The mac n cheese is the best though!

Also… Sweet potato fries!!! So yummy. I don’t think they are actually listed on the menu, so ask.

Hidden gem!
Came across this by searching steak places in rome.
Hidden away but when you enter, wow, very cosy inside and wel presented.
Bar staff very welcoming, we got a pint and wine.
Cosy bar with log burner on.
We ordered a steak and ribs. We was told it would approx be 20minutes but didn’t mind waiting without a starter as we felt comfortable. The chef then made us some meatballs as a welcome treat and these were lovely and free!
The food:- amazing. We had the fillet steak and asked for just salad instead as it came with colslaw this came as reauested and I had the ribs with side of chips. Matteao and Jacob was our waiters who was brilliant for us. It is the Best food we have had so far and probably won’t be topped. Perfect for our anniversary meal. Would highly recommend! We paid €95 for 2 pints and 3 glasses of wine, steak with salad and ribs with chips. 5 star fantastic!
