Don’s family style buffet is the best place to get fried chicken and they don’t run out, they’re constantly keep bringing fresh food out. I think it might be the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Their desserts are fantastic! Well, lots of different choices of cakes and pie. Also soft serve ice cream, chocolate and vanilla or the classic swirl. Friendly service, affordable pricing these days.

If you’re in mid-Missouri and not familiar with Don’s you’re really missing out. Affordable all you can eat fried chicken with all the fixings! They offer a rotating other main selection also depending on the night. You can also order off the menu. The chicken is always hot and juicy!

I picked this restaurant out of the blue to meet friends who had traveled in seven hours, and I drove in for an hour. Wow! The food was fresh. The service was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. It was a wonderful experience! The real telling sign was when we each pulled up, there were already local cars in the parking lot waiting for Don’s to open. When locals love a place, you know you’re in good hands! ☺️

Good buffet but it wasn’t made from scratch food. It was box stuffing, gravy, etc. They do have good fried chicken. Its a very busy place, I will say that!

We ate at Dan‘s family style buffet on a Friday night and had delicious catfish. Their fried chicken was crunchy and cooked perfectly as well. They were incredibly busy, but the service was superb. We got seated quickly and the waitress was quick to get our drink order as well as come back and check on us an appropriate amount of times. It sure seemed like all the food was homemade. The dessert bar was incredible with seasonal fresh fruit, cobbler, and pies, and a soft serve ice cream machine that was able to keep up with the crowd.

The fried chicken is delicious, crispy skin, juicy, and always hot and fresh. The sides are very good. The assortment of desserts is impressive. I was told by a former coworker they had the best chicken, and I have to agree with him.

My entire family love going to Don’s. We take advantage of their senior discount night ( Tuesday I believe). The buffet never gets low on food, even if the restaurant is busy. The wait staff and the kitchen staff are always moving, cleaning, and visiting with the customers. If you want a “down home” feel…. This is the place! Their fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans reminds me of my grandma”s. We especially love the little lady at the register when we leave…she is just as sweet as pie! Speaking of pie, they have a dessert buffet as well. I personally love the gooseberry pie and the butterfinger pie. It’s a big restaurant with a huge parking lot. Sometimes you will need to park further away,but, at least you can burn a calorie after eating too much, like always do. I highly recommend this place to locals and people just passing through if you are looking for some good old fashioned food.
