Traditionally I have breakfast at an original diner on my birthday. On Sunday, I celebrated my 79th birthday with my wife. We had a fabulous breakfast at Don’s Diner. Everything was perfect. Food, service and old diner “vibe” prevailed. We loved the experience. One of the best, if not “the best” birthday breakfast. I also collected another diner’s coffee mug as a remembrance of the event. Thank you, Don’s Diner for a wonderful birthday breakfast experience.

Awesome diner.
First timers, and will return!
My girlfriend and I walked in on Feb 3, 2026 (a Tuesday) around 830am. It was a little slow, but it was 830am on a Tuesday morning (slow day & time for breakfast places, based on my experiences)…

We were greeted almost immediately by a waitress and a young man who was behind the counter. We were told that we could sit anywhere, and we chose a nearby booth. The booth was clean and already set up for two, perfect!
Hannah, the waitress, came right over, gave us the menus, and asked if we wanted drinks.
After she went to get our drinks, the young man (who was involved in a conversation with another patron when we walked in–which gave the place that hometown-feeling) came over next to get our drink order–not realizing that Hannah already had our drinks in motion.

It was refreshing that both Hannah and the young man (I never asked your name, but I will next time!) were attentive to our needs. Drinks were served (orange juice x2), our order was placed, the food was hot, and on the table in approximately 15 minutes (I did not time it, but I try to make note of “delivery time.”).

We ordered the “Big breakfast” and the California eggs Benedict.
All was cooked to perfection and delicious.
Note: I LOVE homefries. As a rule, I always order homefries the first time as they normally make them.
On my next visit, I will remember to ask for onions and “a little more crispy,” as that’s my preference.

Don’s Diner was very clean & neat, good food & great service. Prices were what I’d expect to pay.

We will return. Thank you, Don’s Diner!

Food was pretty good. Liked my pancakes. Biggest problem is that the dishwasher is way too hot. Distracted me from the delicious aromas of my meal. Also, the bacon is inedible. I’ve had concrete that tastes better. It was probably made out rubber or something. I had to go to urgent care after eating it because it gave me food poisoning.

Exceptional food, great service and very reasonable throwback prices. This is the Diner’s (same family) 90th year so I’m not the only one that feels this way.

If you are staying in one of the area hotels, do yourself a favor and skip the free breakfast and eat at Don’s. On my visit they had all the classics done perfectly with some cultural touches. The chorice (like chorizo) was an excellent addition to my breakfast. They offer online ordering with pickup if you can’t stay. Credit cards accepted, but leave the Amex in the wallet.

Very cool place. The food was very good. Hot, fresh and tasty. Servers were friendly and engaging. The atmosphere is old school diner car. Regulars at the counter and the smell of bacon. If you’re at the Wrentham outlets, drive a couple more minutes down the road. Well worth it.

My boyfriend comes here frequently and always enjoys, but this time I was able to join him. Best breakfast I have had out in a very long time. I ordered 1 egg over hard with bacon, hash browns and a grilled english. Egg was cooked perfect. Hash browns were cooked crispy on outside (perfectly cooked). Bacon was cooked great and english was GRILLED not like places in the past where it is put on grill but not really cooked. So delicious and our waitress was so pleasant and friendly. Thank you for a great experience ♥️
