Stopped by today while looking for something near Grant Park and was not disappointed. It’s a pretty unassuming place with a small parking lot and no indoor seating but the food is outstanding. The pulled pork was very tender and flavorful, the whole wheat bun had a great flavor, and the sauce was awesome. The potato salad is one of the better ones I’ve had and the staff was friendly. It’s probably a good thing I don’t live closer or I would be there a few times a week.
I highly recommend this place and will be back to try out some other things.

Hands down the best BBQ I have had in Milwaukee. Great sides, good sauces and the meat is simply perfection. There is a reason this guy doesn’t advertise and he is still in business. Get there early before they run out of meat!

I saw all the 5 star ratings and my brother stopped here and picked up some ribs and they were great…so I thought I would try them again…wrong move…not sure what happened but what I got was not the same as what my brother picked up…the pulled pork was soaking in a puddle of grease…the ribs were dry and way over cooked…both ends were black and hard to chew. The sides( potato salad and cole slaw) were good though. 46.00 later I regretted it. I hate it too, this place is close to me and I really wanted it to be good…

It’s good – I’ll go back. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The bun was fresh, and the pork was delicious. I wasn’t too happy with the bbq sauce they included on the side. It tasted good, but was too runny and made the bun soggy. Otherwise, I would have rated 5 stars. The beans are intense! It’s a meal in itself.. I wanted to try their slaw, but was given potato salad instead. Not a big deal, the potato salad is pretty good too. I’ll try the slaw next time.

I tried it yesterday for the first time – The staff are very friendly. Pulled Pork and Slaw were excellent. It would be nice if they had a table inside – They are set up for carry out only. They were nice enough to let me eat lunch inside on a very cold day. It’s not a great place to grab lunch unless you have a place to take it and eat it. Very good and clean!

SOOO incredibly delicious!!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The gentleman who was working today (i’m guessing he’s the owner) works very hard, and he’s doing a fantastic job. Every time we order from here the food is sensational! The prices are great, bbq sauces are great, sides are great, and the staff is great. Highly recommend this BBQ pit stop. Great job.

Okay, I just made a Google+ account just so I could review this place, which was really annoying. BUT, I really cannot say enough good things about this place. It’s all about the food. Hands down, the best pulled pork, smoked chicken, and ribs I’ve EVER HAD. An assortment of delicious sauces including my favorite, Carolina style. Until today I thought I would have to travel to the deep south to get BBQ like this, but here it is, sitting in a little hole in the wall place in Bay View. Freakin’ delicious, a must try. If you want ribs however, I would suggest calling ahead, even a few hours ahead, because they go FAST.

I just stopped in here for the first time yesterday just to check it out. Well the second I took the first whiff of the delicious smoke smell I knew I was going to have to get some meat. My girlfriend and I decided on a half rack of ribs. They were possibly the best ribs I have ever eaten in my entire life. The spice rub that he uses is out of this world and the ribs had a deep smoke ring and fell off the bone.
I give this place a 10/10 and I will be going back soon since my mouth is watering just thinking about how delicious it was!

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming store front and lack of dining room. This is a deliciously awesome spot for BBQ with homemade sides and BBQ sauce. There’s only one picnic table out front but it does the trick if you want to eat on site. Otherwise grab takeaway and get ready for a real treat!
