I see at least one review refer to Donna’s Place as a hidden gem…and they are 100% accurate. We were traveling some backroads exploring the state and stumbled across Toledo and therefore Donna’s Place.
From the outside my wife and I both commented on how charming it looked. Walking in we saw it is not only charming, but very warm and inviting. The decor and atmosphere makes you feel at ease and comfortable, like a part of the town.
Our waitress did a great job making sure we never felt forgotten or lacking anything. She was also great to interact with! Another individual (we assume an employee) was adding information to one of the televisions and we had very fun and pleasant exchanges with them as well.
The food was quite delicious. It really brought the feeling of “down home comfort” out. And for desert they had a freshly made strawberry cheesecake. Delicious is not a strong enough word to describe how good it tasted!
We enjoyed our visit so much that we made sure to buy a hat to remember Donna’s Place. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly stop back!

In all of my travels, I’m always writing about Hidden Gem locations and this is one of them! Donna’s Place Cafe, just off Interstate 5 about an hour South of the Seattle/Tacoma area is completely worth the stop. In fact, I would argue it would be worth a Saturday or Sunday drive just to come eat here (from Portland too). The food portions were absolutely massive and cooked to perfection. And when I say massive, the seafood platter was enough that three grown men could have eaten it. We were a family of seven and I tasted a bite of pretty much everything on the table. Everything was incredible! The service was great! The food came out hot and fast.. put the name Toledo, Washington into your brain along with Donna’s Place Cafe. This place has it all. Wide variety menu, homemade desserts, from scratch milkshakes. This is everything!

My family just recently opened a business in Toledo and tried all of the local restaurants during our opening process. Donna’s place is so good that we came back and got lunch the very next day! I can genuinely say that’s a first for me. The food was so good I just couldn’t stop thinking about it!

My 2 year old ate more than we have ever seen him eat before because the home made fries and burgers were that good. This is our new go to spot! The staff were so kind and made us feel like family while we were in. Can’t wait to be back!

Since the new ownership Donna’s Place is terrible. Service is shit, we ordered our toddler a kids mini corn dog and fries meal and the corn dogs came out disgustingly overcooked and rock hard. I ordered the chicken fettuccine, which is supposed to come with a salad and garlic bread (never saw either of those) this is the worst experience we’ve had here yet, the service has always been a little slow but with what we dealt with tonight is complete BS. To the new ownership of Donna’s Place, your servers need a lot of help to do their job the correct way.

This place sucks! Food is meh. I mean you might enjoy it if you’re the type of patron who also enjoys eating their own boogers. Service is even more meh unless you’re a regular they know. Overpriced for the greasy flavorless slop you get. Save yourself some time and walk the 50 feet over to El Tejano and get awesome food that’s worth it from people who are super nice.

French dip was perfect. Everything I love about a good one….meat was tender without grissle and bun was yummy and grilled. Fries done just right. Side salad was fresh. Friendly fast service.
