We were tired, sweaty and hungry after a long day of traveling. Stopped in here for dinner. The owner was very gracious and pleasant to keep company with. The other guy that also came in for drinks was very nice too. The artwork displayed on the walls are gorgeous!
Their burgers were sizzling and yummy! We left with very full tummies! Fries were good too! The owner/cook kept our drinks topped off at all times.
Stop in here and support local businesses!

Have ate here twice, got the chicken strip basket and cowboy burger to go, only cost $23 which I thought was very reasonable.
Second time we ate in, got the crispy chicken wrap and french dip. Best fries I’ve had in a long long time. With 2 drinks it cost $29. Reasonable prices for the yummy food you get.

There are many reasons a restaurant can lose ratings, and out of anything you could try and find here, they will make up for it ten fold. I have been in and out of this particular location since I was a kid, and seeing the original floors and everything almost as it was, brings a sense of nostalgia. I could not lower my overall rating, based on the interior, but instead will give all fives, as they had exceptional service, tended to us properly and not overly or too little. The food was fast, and presented very well! We chose a basic meal and a more complex sandwich and both were perfect. None the less, out of everything here that you could be critical of, this is a great place to come for any meal time, and know that you will recieve great food and great service only found in these beautifully small rural communities!

friendly service, moderately priced.
salad bar seemed a bit sparse & runny milkshake were the downside including being closed on Mondays
Finger steaks & onion rings were great
Bar in the back. I am unsure if liquor was available.

We came through and I specifically asked the waitress about the charge of the salad with a meal and it is also on the menu but while checking out was charged 7.00 for my side salad. Also no children’s salad bar. Overpriced and service was not great. I could have gone to a fancy restaraunt and paid less with better service. A French dip, tots and 1 small salad plate with no return trip was $18.00. No way would I recommend or return.

Tonia’s Cafe is a diamond in the rough! A bit like a sleeper car, this humble restaurant doesn’t boast, but delivers some of the best food and coffee you will find from lewiston to Dayton! Do not be fooled by its aging facade, this place will reaffirm your belief in the saying “Never judge a book by its cover.” If you are traveling highway 12 and looking for truly delicious American comfort food at great prices, you really need to stop at Tonia’s! You will be very pleasantly surprised!!!
***I will post pics in an edit sorry for the lack****

I love Tonia’s Cafe, although I never know whether or when it is open. COVID19 has caused chaos on everything, and I realize all businesses have been hit hard. It would be helpful to have set hours to know when we can depend on Tonia’s is open for our participation. We were there last Sunday for breakfast, it was delicious and busy, but this Sunday Tonia’s was closed even though the door hours said it was open. While across the street at the convenience store I saw 2 other vehicles stop to check if it was open. Bad for business.

Food came fast and was fairly tasty. I had the OMG burger and fries. A very satisfying meal. A little pricey, but to be expected in a small town restaurant and it was worth it.
