Ate there a month or so ago and went back to take my Mom and daughter today. Went in at 10:10am and was told they were between breakfast and lunch and we would have to wait 30-45 minutes before we could get any food. We left. How do you close an hour between? Or not even advertise that. The food was good the 1st time but not wait that long just to get served especially when there was only 1 table of maybe 3 people in there.

Donna is great, Donna is God, Donna is the life force that transcends this mortal plane of existence! Food so scrumptious that you can scarcely comprehend the insurmountable bliss that swells your mouth, indeed, you feel as though you may collapse upon your knees out of sheer rapturous delight, that no words may give justice to it! Oh, wondrous sustenance! If only for a day I might embody your goodness, then I shall live a life forever blessed and content, having partaken in such pleasure!

Today was my first visit to Donnas. I got there at 11:30 and it was packed . I thought that was a good sign of good food. That was a mistake . I had fish, mac and cheese, fries and greens.
It took at least 25 minutes or more for my food to arrive, and they even asked if someone else could sit at my table. I agreed
I took one bite of the fish and knew I could not take another . The taste and being WAY overcooked was more than I wanted to endure. The Mac and Cheese was noodle covered in a thin white cheese sauce, The fries would have been fine if they had been hot. The greens were fair but nothing more.
One thing was great —the iced tea.
My waitress was nice BTW
I am VERY confused by the number of people who were there

We arrived at 12:50 PM on Friday. Business was predictably good, as it was catfish Friday . Only had to wait 10 minutes or so for a table, and our server, a Young brunette came to us promptly. Took our drink orders, and 5 minutes later, took our food order. After waiting 40 minutes for basic orders of catfish and hamburgers, I spoke to our server as she was folding silverware and napkins. She dismissed me by saying well they have to cook the hamburgers. Really? I told her I cooked hamburgers last night and it takes five minutes on each side. Ten minutes after that we got the food. The food was great, but someone does not need to be in the hospitality business.

My wife Gina and I had a great breakfast this morning at Donna’s. I ordered two eggs over medium with bacon hash browns and a biscuit and gravy. Gina ordered a dish entitled half hot mess. The half hot mess being half the size of the full hot mess, what’s still too much food for Gina to eat it is basically eggs sausage and biscuits covered in gravy and very delicious. I may give it a try the next time I’m at Donna’s as well and if I’m feeling very hungry I will order the full hot mess. As always the service at Donna’s was impeccable and exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend Donna’s for a wonderful breakfast. Oh by the way I forgot to mention how excellent the coffee is.
