Came on a Saturday night about 5:30, and it was not busy at all. The bar area was full, but the actual dining area had about 10 people sitting there. The service was extremely slow to start, but got better as the meal went on. They only had 1 bartender, which was surprising. The food was ok, and nothing to write home about. Given the many great establishments in the area, we will most likely not be going back.

Our dinner here was absolutely wonderful. My wife enjoyed the Wild Western burger while I tried the sliders and both were perfectly cooked with top-notch meat. The sides, from fries to tots, were equally tasty. Jen, our server, was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was our first visit, but we’ll definitely be returning soon.

1/2 price pizza Mondays are not bad. Went there for the $5.00 burger with a choice of sides. Burgers are decent, but they don’t give you any fries! The fry portions are very skimpy. Food is decent, beverages are ice cold and service is ok. They have awesome breakfast specials and the a good sampler appetizer. Ribs are not bad. Chopped steak is ok. A real nice place to enjoy a sporting event (Go Cubs!) with a beautiful bar that is nice to see in a newer building. The location is nice, food is decent and reasonably priced.

We had a fantastic dinner here. Husband had the Wild Western burger and I had the sliders. Meat quality was awesome, cooked perfect. Fries and chips and tots were great. Our server Jen was super nice, attentive, and just overall took good care of us. It was our first time here and we will be back!

First time trying this place and thought we would go for lunch. Being it was a bar and grill it was very very loud. My husband had picked the place to eat and I asked him so will we be coming back here again and he said no. I guess for a younger crowd it might be okay but for an older crowd it really was not and it was hard to talk over the noise. The food was okay but nothing really special. But I have to say their french fries was very good. So if you’re young and don’t mind the noise while you’re having lunch or dinner, this might be a good place for you to be.

My son and I went to The Donkey Inn Bar & Grill located in Algonquin. He went with the Flat Bread Caprese w/Chicken and, I chose the Hot Roast Beef.
The description for my meal does say “sliced” roast beef but, it seemed more like Italian Beef. Roast beef is a totally different cut of meat, yeah!? Because of that, I give it a “2.” My son liked his flat bread.
They do have other items on the menu that sound good. I would probably give it another shot and try something different.

was here in the spring with 2 friends.
had to seat ourselves, and server took forever to come and talk to us.
food was cooked pretty terrible. got meat loaf and it was burnt and hard on the bottom. my friends didnt like their food either.
we should have known something was up when we noticed other tables had plates full of food not being eaten, while we were waiting for out server.
Jon Taffer needs to come to this place and get them in line with standards.
i only gave it 2 stars because the slots were paying that night.
wont be coming back to this place.

The weather was gorgeous so we dined outside. There’s a nice sized patio behind the restaurant. Our server was phenomenal. She really did an excellent job taking care of us. The nachos were tasty and everything was reasonably priced.
