Last night, I ordered two Big Don subs without tomatoes due to a tomato allergy. When the first order arrived, the bread was extremely hard and both subs were covered in tomatoes. Thankfully, we always check our food before eating — because in this case, it could have been life-threatening.
I reordered the subs and also called the location directly to stress how important it was that no tomatoes be included. I spoke with the manager, who told me that because I didn’t order directly through Donatos, he could not omit the tomatoes. In 47 years of life, I have never heard something so unreasonable. An allergy is an allergy, regardless of how the order is placed.
The second order arrived — again with tomatoes, and again with rock-hard bread.
I then went to the store to address the issue in person. I calmly explained that we selected the “omit tomatoes” option when ordering. The manager showed me a generic receipt that did not list the item details, refused to look at my receipt with the details and insisted it was my fault, stating again that he could not make the subs without tomatoes.
I canceled that order and placed a new one in-store for pickup. At that point, the manager refused to make my food, claiming I was being rude — despite the fact that I remained respectful throughout the interaction. As a public official, I am always mindful of how I treat others. I simply requested that my food be prepared as ordered.
He continued to say he would only make the order if it was placed directly through Donatos. When I asked for corporate contact information, he went to the back, saying he would call his boss. Instead, he called the police.
The police arrived, and ironically, they were already familiar with complaints about this manager. They stated they themselves had stopped patronizing this location due to previous reports of rude behavior toward customers, including friends of color.
This experience was deeply disappointing. Donatos has been one of my favorite pizza places for years, and I have never had an issue before. However, no customer should be refused service or treated this way — especially over a documented food allergy and a simple request to omit an ingredient.

I’ve ordered and eaten at many different Donato’s. Never had such a bad experience with my order being wrong. Double checked that I ordered ground beef and NOT sausage. Not only did my pizza have sausage. It had extra sausage on it. Definitely the wrong order.

Customer service makes or breaks a business, and when a team has a star player they should absolutely be shouted out. I needed a modification for an online order because the system wouldn’t allow it online so I called but was placed on hold for an extended period of time (over 10 mins). Brandon picked up when he noticed and was immediately kind, apologetic, took ownership for the extended hold time (it sounded like whoever put me on hold forgot) and made sure my modification was taken care of. Brandon is 100% the reason our experience exceeded our expectations and his kindness and understanding was unexpected and genuine. He is 100% the reason we’ll be ordering again!

I placed an order online, when I went to pick it up I added a side salad. They were not busy at all. The gentleman who answered the drive through window and added my salad to the order said it would take 10 minutes to make the salad, and asked me to pull back around. I pulled up, and no cars came through the drive through I pulled back around to see 2 employees out back, this could be why it takes 10 minutes to make a salad.. My salad was full of brown wilted lettuce. I do not recommend adding anything to your order once its placed.

Cheese pizza was amazing! Brandon was very kind and efficient and John made us a delicious hot pizza that hit the spot! (We couldn’t stop eating it!) We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered pizza online last night for delivery Sunday at 7pm. Our pizza arrived on time however was not completely cooked. Our veggie pizza is still dough, the cheese bread is half cooked as is our second pizza. I’ve been on hold to speak with someone for 25 minutes and no one answers. These pizzas were clearly rushed and not fully cooked internally. We’d like our money back at least if we could get a hold of anyone. This is our local shop and it’s not the first time we’ve had issues with orders. I understand being short staffed but we still paid full price $60 with tip for food we can’t eat. Not okay.

Wow, what a let down. $3.29 for salad that had 4 pieces of pepperoni, and a few slices of tomatoes. Then, $4.59 for the asiago cheese bread that was tasteless. The pizza was ok. Just glad I went and got it, instead of having it delivered. So, all of this stuff for $19.07.. not worth the money… won’t order from Donatos again…

Times are hard, I just treated my grandchildren to a pizza and pepperoni bread only to receive a cold pizza with burnt crust and the pizza bread was totally black on the bottom, cold with no cheese on it. Service was sub par, I spoke to the manager Brandon who attempted to explain to me that the pizza was burnt because I ordered a three topping pizza. I’ve been a customer of Donatos since 1969, longer than he’s probably been on this Earth! What ever happened to providing the customer with a quality product that comes at a quality price. Boo for brandon. He gets a one star!

I ordered wings and pizza for a family member to be delivered on the website. The website did mention anything about they might use doordash for the delivery until after I paid for the food and I included a tip. The door dash driver (Chyanne) did not follow delivery instructions, put the food on the floor and was really rude about it. Door dash did rectify the situation by contacting the store and another door dasher followed the instructions. I won’t be ordering from the location any more at least for delivery.

Terrible pizza. Not even cafeteria level. Soggy, undercooked. Got a large pepperoni and bacon pizza and a side of bread sticks. Received a pizza that was undercooked, barely any pepperoni and limp bacon. Side of breadsticks was only two burnt dry sticks with a small marinara. Will never order from here again, save your money.
