Not for me. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with 2 extra $5 add ons of 5 wings. One order only had 4! The wings were not good. They were little and some pieces were very bony. The pizza for me was just ok. It seemed overcooked which didn’t help. Service was fast and order ready when I arrived.

The pizza is so good. We had many Donatos locations in Columbus, Ohio. It was considered the best pizza chain where we used to live. We were so happy to find one here. We drive all the wY from Bradenton to get their pizza. We get the thin crust. We get the founders favorite which is a supreme pizza
It’s a thin crisp crust. The toppings go edge to edge. The veggies are fresh and the pepperoni and sausage are really good. The leftover pizza is even good and I don’t usually like leftover pizza. They have subs that are excellent too. We like the Big Don Italian sandwich. It’s one of the best Italian hoagie you’ll ever have. We wouldn’t drive for 20 or 25 minutes to get their pizza and subs unless we thought they were outstanding.

My family and I always love coming to Donatos. I love the fact that they cut the pizza into party slices. The specific time that we went the ice machine was down and the female manager I don’t know her name was very kind enough to give us a free dessert in place of it. Super friendly service and great reasonable prices for pizza.

There is no pizza in SW Florida that compete with my Hometown Donatos and I will die on that hill. Pepperoni pizza, Founders favorite and Mariachi Beef are goated. Hawaiian is also superior to all competitors. Bring Donatos to Punta Gorda so we don’t have to travel 2 hours round trip for Pizza please. We need it here!!!!

Best. Pizza. EVER! I live in Winter Garden, FL and wish so much we had a Donatos! Any time I go through Sarasota I’m stopping here. If you love a classic Hawaiian pizza, you NEED to try Donatos Hawaiian. It’s so insanely good. They add sliced almonds and cinnamon (along with pineapple and ham of course) which elevates the experience sooo much. Perfectly crunchy, amazing flavor, savory and sweet. Gah there’s nothing like it anywhere. And believe me I’ve tried many pizza places attempting to replace the Donatos Hawaiian. It can’t be replaced!
Clean restaurant and had a peaceful time munching on my pizza while visiting (I ate at the restaurant). Highly recommend!

I had no idea there was a Donato’s in Florida. My wife and I made the 90 minute drive to Sarasota and the pizza did not disappoint! It is exactly like I remember it from back home. It’s a small place in a strip mall plaza but the pizza is all that matters. I’ll definitely be back.

Usually we are partial to non-chain/franchise pizza’s but we have been seeing a lot of action on Social Media with positive feedback so we gave Donatos a shot.
Pros: Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lots of staff, perhaps even too much. Even though you ordered at the counter if you dine in, they bring the food to your table and the manager even came by to check on our satisfaction.
Cons: I’m pretty sure they forgot our order, or perhaps thought we were a carry out. We waited a little over 30 minutes for our pizza, and after a staff member stopped by asking if we had gotten it yet (acting a little surprised when asking the question), we heard a bustle of activity and it came out shortly after that. Dine in is limited with only 3 booths total in the main area. They did have a “community room” that was also open with additional seating and perhaps additional tables will be added to the main area after COVID restrictions are loosened.
The pizza itself was pretty good. We enjoyed it more then something like a Domino’s or Pizza Hut, but as picky pizza people I wouldn’t put it on par with a family pizza restaurant.
I’d consider this a solid take out choice, but not our family’s cup of tea for dinning out.
Give it a shot, again, much of the social buzz is strong.

I am a board member of FACES of COURAGE We are a nonprofit CANCER organization and on Saturday we had taken them over to Sarasota to the botanical gardens while leaving botanical gardens our bus broke down on Fruitville Road in front of a shopping center…..I went into Donatos‘s Pizza ordered two pan pizzas and share the story with the cashier not knowing she was a manager about our bus being broke down and I had 35 to 40 cancer survivors on the bus and it was gonna take an hour and a half for our next charter bus to arrive. There were about 15 Survivors !!! on our bus they could not get off Well I will have you to know that when they gave me my order THEY also gave me a couple of FREE pizzas, large size already cut up drinks, plates, napkins, and said take this free of charge to those survivors who were on that charter bus. They did not have to do that. They showed care concern enthusiasm honor they gave and show the best side of management ever so we would like to THANK …….Donatos’pizza !!! and the FOUR MANAGERS !!!!!….that are pictured in the picture these guys are awesome if you ever want pizza, please stop by Donatos fast, friendly, clean environment and they were all smiling faces. I want to THANK the staff from my heart to your heart.

I thought all pizzas were the same until we came to donatos.. wow the dough and topping ratio was perfect the cinnamon bread was burnt and sadly we didn’t enjoy burnt sweet bread but I cannot get too upset since the wings weren’t the best but definitely not the worst.
Overall that pizza had me hooked

Absolutely amazing! We drove from Winter Garden just to get pizza and were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and modern. The employees were all helpful and friendly. The there was the pizza. OUTSTANDING! This is the best pizza out there. If you are a fan of pepperoni and thin crust, this is your place. Glad that Donatos is here in Florida. A nice Columbus restaurant that we will definitely be visiting again.
