So happy I made the decision to drive in from the rockaways. From the moment you enter your welcome. The ambiance is so warm. The staff are very attentive, friendly and polite.
Customer service was wonderful. The food was served on time and fresh. The carne asada street taco we’re so good. The meat was so tender. The salsa Verde so fresh. Thank you for your amazing service. (11.22.25) I was thinking of having tacos and sure enough found this gem! While I was reviewing the menu (great options by the way), I finally narrowed it down to the MaruBirria Soup, Steak Nachos (comes fully loaded), Birria Sandwich (comes fully loaded) with consomé, and 4 small Birria Tacos with consumé. When the food got delivered, I opened up each container and it smelled so good!
To be honest, I was hoping the consumé that was inside with the 4 birrias and the birria sandwich could have had a little more of the consomé. That’s okay because I kept on dipping them inside my MaruBirria Soup. Now, with the soup I was hoping for a little bit more of cliantro and red onions on top but other than that it was so tasty! Lastly, both the steak nachos and the birria sandwich was completed loaded and very flavorful!!! Thank you for an amazing meal and I cannot wait to go visit!

My family has been looking for a taco place since we’ve moved to Long Island from Jackson Heights. Safe to say we will be coming back regularly.
Service was amazing, the waiter, Carlos, went above and beyond to explain each dish, and the food was authentic and affordable. Additionally, the ambiance and 80’s music was great.

This is a place I would highly recommend. The food is great, the atmosphere makes you feel like home and staff is one of the most friendly I have encountered. Carlos is very nice. Authentic Mexican flavors. Will be definitely returning. ☺️☺️

Just door dashed from Don Vargas Taqueria, BEST TACOS I HAVE EVER HAD. You can tell how much quality and work they put into their food. I got three Al Pastor tacos 10/10, their presentation was even amazing and it was door dashed. If you want high quality tacos definitely order. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

It’s just one of those small places that make you feel like you’re at home. Tacos are authentic and yummy. The service is excellent. The environment is welcoming. I also love their 80s vibes and decor. I wish I took more pictures but the photo speaks for itself. I will be back soon !

Fantastic service! Food was outstanding and I got the biria tacos. The music was playing when I first walked in and then this gentleman began playing his guitar and singing some amazing hits.
