Excellent asada tacos. $4.85 seems like a lot for a taco, until you open the box and see them stuffed (nay, overflowing) with meat, guacamole, onions, cilantro and pico de gallo. Ingredients all seem fresh and meat is cooked perfectly. They also have the bottled Mexican coke. Great to wash down your tacos. One of the best things about this place is the salsa bar with red/green salsa, radishes, sliced cucumbers and the tub of pickled carrots/onions/jalapeños. For you civilians, the Only downside is it is inside a truck stop. Just look at the ground from the door to the Don Tortaco counter.

You might be surprised by a $7.83 breakfast burrito. Filled me up while I filled the cars gas tank.

Staff was friendly, they were a bit slow, but they do get a lot of clientele at times. Food was freshly made. The portions were big and the taste was great.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Don Tortaco Mexican Grill, located at the Mortons Travel Center in Las Vegas. I opted for their chicken burrito, generously stuffed with beans and rice, which proved to be a delightful choice. Alongside, I enjoyed their tortilla chips and Chiles Toreados. The highlight for me was the salsa selection; the green salsa was incredibly flavorful, while the red salsa packed a potent spicy punch, perfect for those who appreciate a bit of heat. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were notably friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. For a truck stop, Don Tortaco offers surprisingly good Mexican food at a reasonable price, making it a must-visit for anyone passing through.

I ordered torta de milanesa and a mineral water, when they called me to pick up my torta I asked for a side a mayonnaise, she tried to charge me $1,25. Unbelievable!!! I went to the store and I got a package of mayonnaise

This little Mexican Grill is in the food court of a Vallero between Subway and a BBQ joint. Being a gas station kitchen the place is ok. Wouldn’t meet my normal standards but the steak and eggs burrito I ordered and my wife’s rolled tacos we’re decent. Both dishes were very dry though and required lots of salsa.

It’s quite disappointing when a Mexican restaurant can’t make proper refried beans! They were the worst I’ve ever had! The beans weren’t even fully mashed. They were watery and hard and chunky like the beans were undercooked. They didn’t have much flavor either.
