Excellent spot for a friendly Mexican meal. The service was absolutely amazing as they had multiple people checking on you and can truly care that you’re happy. I really can’t say enough about this as I was so impressed. The food was also amazing (including the excellent margaritas). Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back.

There food is really good. The only difference noticed was the meat was seasoned for the enchilada plate and not the burrito. But service was great!

My nephew, niece and god daughter came in from Japan for our first visit in over a year. They don’t have Mexican food in Okinawa so I choose Don Tono’s as his last taste before leaving the country. It was amazing. Our children got to meet and we got to enjoy a nice peaceful lunch. Delicious hot sauce and bean dip are brought with chips. We ordered queso to start the meal and it was very tasty. We had the quesabirria and enchiladas. Both were excellent! They brought sopaipillas with chocolate and fresh cream after the meal that were the perfect finish. We had a great time and will return!

Great spot! Food is awesome, fresh and hot upon arriving at the table. Their warm salsa is incredible! You can’t beat the price and customer service! The stuffed bell peppers are amazing, the sauce has this amazing undertone of sweetness that really makes the dish a stand out! Enchiladas were great! Our family will definitely be returning customers! Super glad to have stumbled upon this unique gem of find!

We have known Tony and eaten at his restaurants in Friendswood for over 15 years. We didn’t know he opened a new place on the Gulf Freeway at Dixie Farm until tonight!
The new place is close to our home, clean and welcoming. It has a cool party room, back patio & kareoke on Friday and Saturday nights!
The food is so delicious! Served hot, fresh and very authentic. Full bar, and a large variety and choices on the menu. They have classic Mexican food favorites and thier Caldo De Rez is devine!
The owner Tony, the family and his staff are friendly and attentive as they always have been! Great customer service!
Stop by and give them a try!

New Restaurant opened roughly 3 months ago and we were finally able to try it. Don Tono’s hit the spot.
The prices are a little more than other hole in the wall spots but not so high it’s out of touch. Especially with our current economy.
The service was on point, the only issue that I can even comment on is that not all knew English. So be patient with the staff, you’ll be taken care of without a doubt.
The flavors of everything were great. @ $15.00 not bad at all. The fajitas had a great marinade and flavor per bite. Nice soft and juicy.
Not to mention we will be back for more of that Queso flameado! Pro tip: order it with tortillas! It doesn’t come with any.
Can’t wait to come back and try more and items.
Until next time.

Great food and excellent service. The homemade tortillas are fantastic and the Mocajete is worth a driving at least an hour. We’ll be back.

have been here a few times now & it needs more hype. their tacos are so good, any kind. we usually get the street tacos and they never fail. also a unique choice to offer frijolitos as a dip option. our server is always within eyeshot which is very refreshing. food is always out timely, sometimes crazy fast. the manager/owner who is usually there is so welcoming and kind.

My husband and I tried this place and was very unsatisfied. He got a cheese enchilada dinner and I got the stuffed avocado dinner. Ok so for one we had to pay extra to have 3 enchiladas when other places we have eaten at automatically has 3 enchiladas. They were very small and my husband said that it tasted like it was processed cheese. My stuffed avocado was very small and the breading was the type you would get on fish…yuck. It also smelled like it was fried in oil that fish had been fried in. Now to the rice…bland and it had peas and carrots in it. Never had it like that. So needless to say we will not be eating there again.

I said I wanted one of the valentines special margaritas for $3.50, and they told me which flavors. I chose one, and they asked me medium or large. They then charged me $15 and wouldn’t change my bill to reflect the promotion. Usually awesome, but I definitely feel like I got scammed on the margarita.
Edit: The owner has now replied. I asked an employee what the valentine’s special, and was told it was razmatazz, melon, and amaretto. The owner has told me here that the correct answer should’ve been “no flavors.” So there was a frustrating miscommunication or misunderstanding
