Been coming here for over 15 years. It’s still my fave. If you’re new here, know that your food is made to order and there’s usually only one cook behind the counter. It’s worth the wait! Softest, most velvety homemade flour tortillas could have their own spot on the menu. Bomb enchilada sauce. Always kind and humble service. I LOVED having dinner here! They have sidewalk seating if you have dogs it’s perfect.
I didn’t know what to get so tried two different tacos. The flour tortillas were soooooo good on the fish taco but let me tell you, the crisp beef burrito was so dang good! My husband got the beef enchiladas and he loved them too.
They have a salsa bar and the hot salsa is HOT. I loved the Verde it was a mild.
Oh… But don’t sleep on the beans and rice they are good!

While this place is so cute and I have only heard good things, I was sorely disappointed in our visit. Not only were my tortillas undercooked, it was incorrect. The menu states $13.50 for the plate plus CORN tortillas. As someone that can’t have flour, it was disappointing to not only get flour tortillas but also that they were not even cooked. And I was charged $15 for a plate that’s listed as $13.50… when I inquired about it, I was told it’s because I got a drink but my final receipt shows I was charged separately. So I brought my receipt back and was told the price was “just different”
Seems like an easy fix since it’s a screen menu and not hard printed… pretty disappointed.

Ordered a side of carne asada and a side of pollo asada. It’s fair to say that 99% of people would expect this meat to be seasoned. You could imagine my surprise when I opened up and tasted the sides and they had no salt, no pepper or any seasoning. Here it was just cooked steak and cooked chicken. Completely underwhelmed. When I asked about it, they said that’s how they make their meat and chicken and were surprised by my reaction stating that “no one has ever made a big deal about it”. So here we are having a discussion about how they don’t season their meat and their patrons love it. Not me. First and last time there.

Soooo yummy! I’m glad we decided to try this place out. We also got a horchata, and chips with salsa, to accompany our big meal. Definitely left us stuffed, especially the huge Cali burrito.
Only downside I’d say is parking. Plus the fact that I wish there was a Don Tommy’s in our area so we’d be able to visit often!
