It’s been a while since we’ve had Mexican so we tried Don Tequila’s. Our experience was very good. The menu is huge. The service was excellent and our food arrived promptly. The plating was decent. Taste and preparation are a solid four, but the large portion sizes and complementary chips tipped the scale to a five. The only thing I thought was a little off was the guacamole, but my better half loved it because there were no chunks of onion. Split decision on that… however, we both thought the drinks were well done. The fancy margarita was fun and the pours were good. We’d recommend.

The nicest people ever, an enormous menu on which everything is great, enough seating that you will never have to wait even with a large group – this place is practically perfect in every way! They’re always adding new and seasonal things to the food and drink menu to keep us coming back, too!

We’ve been going here for several months and have never had a bad experience. All the employees are courteous and friendly with special kudos to Roberto. The food is always delicious, hot and plentiful. Everyone is masked and following Covid protocols. We have no reservations recommending this friendly clean and delicious restaurant!
Update 5/25/24. Sorry to have to do this but no more DT. New menu leaves out all the old favorites to cater to the newest craze. Their vegetarian options are a joke and the new prices are ridiculous. We won’t be supporting usury at this restaurant.

Mac Zafarana
Overall one of the better Tex-Mex family-style restaurants we’ve had in the city. The Big Burrito California was very tasty and well seasoned-it is big and it’s stick to your ribs food. The hot sauces on the table are all very good. The cocktails were alright, nothing to write home about, and not cheap at about $18 each. Seems like they have a great happy hour deal though so I’m sure we’ll be back!

Our server was fantastic- very attentive. The steak was of decent quality and tasted great. Some Mexican places have resorted to steak that is borderline not edible with gristle and such- this was not the case here. The chips and salsa suck though. I often love to plow through chips and salsa and I ate two chips here. Despite making a reservation over a week in advance and them having it written on the schedule in front of them, when we walked in they had not even remotely saved a table for our group. We came with nine people so this sucked. Our server (the awesome one) pulled some tables together and made it happen though.

The very first restaurant we visited in Upper Arlington was this place. I myself love tacos! My tacos were great, but my girlfriend didn’t really care for her chimichungas ( I ate them later on lol). Service was great and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I would come back and eat here again. Keep it up!

Came here for lunch specials twice. It is a great Mexican restaurant. The place is clean and has a lot of seats with several screens for live games. The service is great. They serve free chips and salsa which tastes mediocre. The lunch menu has a good price with a few items. The dishes have a large size topping with cheese, but the taste could be improved. Everything tastes a little bland for me.
