I’m all about chorizo so that’s what I look for on the menu. We started with the Choriqueso. A good portion with lots of chorizo. As good as any I’ve had. Michele got the Carne Asada. For her it was just ok. She found the meat to be too fatty and gristly for her taste. I had the Chori Pollo. Again, just as good as I’ve had elsewhere so I enjoyed it. Good sized portions for great prices and friendly service. We’d return if we’re in the area.

Colourful, family friendly, efficient restaurant with unexpectedly pretty tables and chairs, hand-painted in the Mexican folk art style. We had chalupas, enchiladas, and my favourite, huevos rancheros, all delivered on thick porcelain plates in the classic style. We did not expect such a pretty and functional restaurant so near the highway. Strong recommend for travellers!

Had a short stay in Lexington, VA. We stopped at Don Tequila’s for a late dinner. We were greeted and seated right away by a smiling young man.
The menu is extensive, varied and quite amazing with many different dishes. Our server was an amazing older gentleman who accommodated whatever we asked for. Margaritas were very good and the food had amazing flavors and combinations. The quantity of food was enormous, thank goodness for doggie boxes!
If you are in or near Lexington, you won’t make a mistake choosing Don Tequila for lunch or dinner, everything was perfect!
