Went for the first time yesterday for the Lunch special and it was fantastic. I had the garlic shrimp with maduros, black beans and rice. It was all flavorful and perfectly tempered. For around 15 dollars, it was a reasonable portion of food that was all delicious. I had a Ernest Hemingway frozen cocktail, and my friends had mojitos. All balanced and very yummy! We split the tres leches as well, and again, it was perfect! If you hate dry or overly soggy trees leches then you’ll love theirs, it has a meringue topping which was delicious too. You can tell it’s made in house which is a rarity these days. Overall we had a great time here and I’ll definitely be back again!

I absolutely love Don Ramon Restaurant on Dixie Highway. It’s truly one of my favorite spots to eat. Every visit is a treat. The food, service, and live music are always phenomenal, creating the perfect atmosphere whether you’re stopping in for happy hour or enjoying a relaxed lunch.

I especially love the cultural flair that makes the experience feel so vibrant and authentic. The Appetizer Fiesta is my favorite thing to share. It’s delicious, beautifully prepared, and perfect for the table.

I’ve also hosted gatherings and events there, and Dina’s team is excellent to work with, always responsive, accommodating, and incredibly kind. They make the planning process seamless and ensure every detail is handled with care.

The Rubio family has created a true Cuban experience, from the warm ambiance and cultural events to the friendly service and incredible homemade dishes. Dina and Juan Rubio have built something very special and recently celebrated the restaurant’s 35th anniversary. Dina’s leadership, creativity, and generosity have made Don Ramon so much more than a restaurant. It’s a beloved community gathering place.

Their commitment to giving back and supporting the community makes supporting them even more meaningful. If you’re looking for amazing Cuban food, live music, and a welcoming cultural experience right here in Palm Beach County, Don Ramon is a must visit.

We really loved our experience at Don Ramon, the food was really good compared to other Cuban restaurants we have been too. The ribeye steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection, the music isn’t too loud either so you can talk and listen to it. Our waiter was really accommodating and helpful and the atmosphere overall was very nice, we will be coming back

I ordered Uber eats so I guess this is probably My fault I should’ve went and picked it up myself, but this still could’ve happened. Not very happy with the service these days. Food is not like it used to be. this is how I received my soup which, of course I couldn’t eat because they were plastic in it because it was so hot that when they put the beans on top, it melted right through.

A hidden gem! The restaurant has a romantic vibe, visit for a date night and enjoy live music as well. Their lunch specials also can’t be beat. Generous portions and the food is delicious. My favorites are the Ropa Vieja and Creole Shrimp. They do offer happy hour as well. My only wish is that they bring back their coconut mojitos, they used to be a favorite of mine at happy hour years ago. I did recently enjoy their margaritas though! On-site parking available.

Food is always great, though I can never figure out why it takes so long to get the bread . This is a staple spot when you’re craving good Cuban food. Reasonably priced, good atmosphere, and consistently solid. If you want good Cuban food at a fair price, this is the place.

Mojito was terrific. The service was awful. Had to walk up to hostess to get order. Hostess yelled to bartender the order. Even after that bartender was so slow and delayed. No one asked if we want another drink or needed anything. The bartender would not speak or make eye contact.

The OG bartender was at the hostess stand. She runs a much more efficient bar. And is usually a lot more friendly- at least attentive.

I’ve been coming to this Cuban restaurant for over 15 years, and it has always delivered exceptional ambience and delicious food. My go-to dish has always been the Lechón Asado — it’s been a longtime favorite for both my husband and me.

However, during our last three visits, we’ve noticed a disappointing change in the quality. The lechón has consistently come out very wet and mushy, almost as if it had been prepped in a bag and microwaved. Unfortunately, it even made me feel nauseous.

It truly saddens me to write this because we’ve always loved this place and have so many great memories here. I genuinely hope the kitchen can return to the quality and care that made this restaurant such a special spot for us all these years.

Cuban is definitely a must when we are in Florida and this Don Ramon is one of our go to. We love this old fashioned with music. We imagined it to be what Cuba might be like. Service is prompt and friendly. We like to start with Tamales con Lechon and share an entree. We had ‘surf & turf’ and our friends tried the Cubano special. So delicious!
