We visited this restaurant for dinner and were delighted with the recommendations provided by our friendly bar servers. The seafood was exceptionally fresh, and I was particularly fond of the crab-filled avocado. While there were many aged meats in the restaurant , they weren’t prominently featured on the menu . Overall, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We would definitely return to this restaurant in the future.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but I left a happy man after that dinner. I went to Don PePe with my wife for our anniversary and we had an amazing time.
The Service 5/5 – they’re so attentive to your needs and so polite. I love it
The food 5/5 AMAZING so authentic, fresh and delicious.
The price is fair. Bit pricey but it was worth every penny.
The venue is beautiful, with a wine select of 3000+ bottles, a display of fresh seafood right in the middle of the dining area, what else can you ask for!

Beyond Latinoamerica
Don Pepe is, by far, the best restaurant in Santo Domingo and probably in the Caribbean. This is a typical spanish “meson” with a sofisticate touch. Wonderfully and fresh elaborate food in a comfortable atmosphere. Impeccable service, amazing menu options, and the perfect spanish taste. I never get tired of visiting Don Pepe. This is not a recommendation. It is a must.

Three of us ate dinner at Dons and was the worstcexperience of my three weeks in the DR and that is saying a lot. I ordered the suckling pig. It was absolutely destroyed where no moisture was left in the meat. I ate possibly 6 bites. My son ordered the beef tenderloin medium rare and it too was overcooked. The salad we got before the meal was the only thing edible. Truly a terrible disappointment. Service was extremely slow and we ran out of water twice having to ask for more. Which we needed to choke down the dry lifeless food
