The food was very disappointing. I got the plate with a chicken taco and chicken enchilada. The chicken in both was dry and unseasoned. The taco was made with an Ortega style shell which disintegrated immediately. Our table of 4 ordered horchatas and they only had enough for two which the waitress placed in front of the two men. The rice was flavorless. The salsa that they serve with tortilla chips was good. We came here because Jody’s was closed, but we won’t be back here when we pass through next time.

We’re from Southern California and didn’t find any negatives like what we read. My chicken fajitas were fantastic. The chips were good, and the salsa and bean dip were as good as in Cali. The service could be improved a bit. My water never got refilled. The ambience and music was not to be expected in Wyoming, but was authentic to the Mexican restaurants we’re used to. In fact, I didn’t believe we could find good Mexican food in Wyoming. The food was good. If I lived here in Evanston, I wouldn’t hesitate to eat at this restaurant on a regular basis. Enjoy the photos that I took with my iPhone 13.

One of the best places to eat in Evanston! The chimichanga was wonderful and the chile verde was delicious! We also enjoyed the fried ice cream.
Excellent service! And they give you chips, salsa, AND a warm bean dip. We eat here almost every time we are in Evanston!!

We will alway love Don Pedro’s. We came home for Christmas and it’s been years since I’ve been able to eat here but it’s the first place we went to eat. The food is always very good and the atmosphere is fun, vibrant and festive. You can’t go wrong eating here.
There are a lot more Mexican restaurants in our home town but we weren’t even interested in going to any of them. Don Pedro’s has always had wonderful food that is flavorful, fresh and made with love.

Food was bland and completely underwhelming. Service was slow but we could have overlooked that except for being served the wrong order. I asked a question to clarify why we were being served an enchilada instead of the kids burrito we ordered and the manager argued with us about the differences between a burrito and an enchilada. I pointed out that the order was wrapped like an enchilada, covered in cheese and enchilada sauce, presented as an enchilada, and that no where from San Diego to Santa Fe would anyone call this anything other than an enchilada. She stood her ground, and said, “that is a burrito” and walked away… Idk, maybe it was just an enchilada that identified as a burrito… what do I know??? Soy solo un gringo tonto que habla el idioma y sabe la diferencia entre un burrito y una enchilada. Not a big deal except for the gaslighting. But judge for yourself, does anything on this plate look like a burrito to you? Avoid this place.

This USED to be a very fun bar to hang out out… however drastic staffing changes, rumors of over serving, and drugging of patrons has sure put a dark cloud on the place. The food has gone downhill as well… I used to come up from salt lake to party here, but lately I’ve been treated with such disrespect it’s not even worth it anymore. I do hope they get it together as this was once a very fun place ♀️

We live in Ogden, Utah and frequently make the hour long drive to Evanston to eat at Don Pedro’s. The food has always been good. We really like the Carne Adobada. Also pictured is the Chicken and Shrimp Monterey.

¡Muy Bien! Stopped in while traveling through Wyoming. I’m from Southern AZ, and this is authentic! Great salsa, the spice is just right. First few bites, I thought it was weak, but then the slow burn and more spicy would have been too much. Fresh flavor, and it could not have been a better atmosphere or service.

Never again. For starters we paid $50 for TOTINIOS PIZZA, 3 teas, and enchiladas. The fact I paid $10 a plate for my children’s food that was freaking totinos pizza is WILD. I know its a Mexican restaurant, but come on.. then their fries were thrown on top of their pizza. Sloppy. They didnt eat barely any of it. The enchiladas were flavorless. And man that ketchup bottle was GROSS. It also seemed like they watered it down, very thin and the cap inside was wet.. the menus were also super grimy, definitely need to be wiping things down. Then I go to pay, give the lady $100, it took forever.. she comes back hands me some bills and change and says have a good day. I grab the money and start to count it and go um this is only $26 I gave you $100, and as Im speaking she hands me another $20.. like was she hoping I just wouldn’t notice? Idk. This place was terrible. I have photos but I dont see the option to post any.
