The food was pretty good. I found most of it to be very average. It is indeed authentic-ish, as they claim. Everything is in Spanish which adds to the appeal. The meat is made to order while the cold items are on a bar when you walk in. The pork was excellent. The chicken left a lot to be desired. The rice was really good. Beans were eh. I’d go back if I wasn’t the one paying. It was REALLY expensive. I got three tacos with an order of rice and beans and including the card processing fee, it was $17.10.

This little restaurant had the best variety of authentic dishes. I ordered a plate of tacos and was met with big flavor. To my surprise, they had hand made their tortillas. This originally put this restaurant at the top of my list for the next night in town.

This place already has it figured out! Beats any Mexican resturant in cookeville. Food FULL of flavor. Nothing like any of the other traditional mexican places in cookeville. This place will go far! If you haven’t tried this place out give it a shot! So good to see a resturant come into this building that is worth something since mini burger left. Will most definitely return. Well I came to Cookeville and wanted Mexican food, and had never eaten here. I’ve driven by a lot of times, so decided to give it a try. What a wonderful experience! I ordered the steak burrito, and it undoubtedly the best steak burrito I have eaten anywhere in Cookeville! The meat was cooked fresh, after I ordered and that was so good! It wasn’t like the meat at other places that is pre cooked and reheated. The tortilla shell was evidently made in house, also the best I’ve had! All the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were very generous! Highly recommend, and hope your experience is as good as mine!

You order at the counter from a chalkboard list of meats with NO prices! We ordered a Carne Asada burrito, Pastor burrito with beans and rice, and a Carne Asada taco, and 2 drinks. My Pastor burrito came with the rice and beans inside though I had wanted them on the side (my bad for not being clear). Pastor and Carne asada were good! Burritos were huge so we ate half and had lunch the next day. I would have liked a pure Pastor burrito with 2 sides. Obviously it had less meat. Flavor and quality of both were very good . The shocker was the price of $42.00 for 2 Burritos, a taco, and 2 drinks. Even in SoCal this meal would have cost no more than $25.00. I do like it. I also like the taco trailer at Trackside!

Absolutely nothing good about this place. Hand made tortillas but under cooked and super fatty meats. Carne asada was cheap cuts seasoned with only salt. Extremely overpriced as well.
