Now the food… out of this world.
I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Texas Fajita, and honestly, it blew my mind. The steak was tender, perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp had that juicy snap you only get when it’s cooked just right. Everything came out sizzling hot, full of flavor, and smelling so good the whole table turned to look.
If you want great food, great music, and an atmosphere that makes you forget you’re even in the city—this is the spot. I’m definitely coming back
First of all, Leslie, one of the waitresses recognized us from our last visit which was months ago. That made us feel welcomed and appreciated from her. Second, our waiter Adrian was phenomenal. We had an amazing conversation and he made us feel like we were eating at his house. That’s how comfortable made us feel.
This is one of the few places that you walk it with a smile, you eat with a smile and you leave with a smile.
Go see Adrian and Leslie. They are awesome!
Pulling up to Don Nachos I realized I have driven past it numerous times and never realized it was there. As it sits next to the BP Gas station, it was easy to access from the main road.
Upon walking in, the area is very vibrant and colorful. The bartender welcomed us in and as we were eating in he advised we could sit anywhere we wanted. Heading to the back booth, the location is very clean and you could smell the good seasonings as you passed the bar to head towards the back. Oh yeah!
After taking a seat, our waiter arrived and provided us with menus and took our drink order. As I flipped through the menu, I was excited to see the variety of options and the cost effective pricing. The menu was very fairly priced for the area and fit within the scope of finding a good meal for under $20.
As our drinks arrived at the table, we were also provided with tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were warm, fresh, and very flavorful. The salsa was mild and a bit bland on the flavor profile, however, the robust flavor profile of the chip enhanced the salsa.
I decided to get the Birria Tacos which come in a set of 3 with the consome as a soup… once the order was placed, the menus were taken and it was back to the chips and salsa.
The food arrived and my hunger immediately went into overdrive. You could smell the freshness coming off the plate. The tacos were meaty and the shell was perfectly done. Oh yes. This is what I wanted!!
Taking the first bite made me close my eyes and begin to chew slowly. The shell was crunchy on the outside which went perfect with the super tender, well seasoned, beef. The beef had a pot roast flavoring to it which made the bites even more enjoyable for me. The meat was so tender that I barely had to chew as it was literally melting in my mouth. I’m talking tender, juicy, flavor screaming beef with no fat. Whew! I’m in love!!!
Don Nachos was a great choice for lunch. The service was good. The food was amazing. The ambiance was super casual and the parking was easy. It’s an all around win. Best of all, lunch for two (with one margarita) was under $50.
The food was not only disgusting, but completely overpriced. They tried to charge us an extra $2 for sour cream, even though the dish is supposed to come with it. When we questioned it, they claimed they don’t serve it with sour cream at all. That made no sense.
We asked to speak to a manager, hoping to resolve the issue, but he was just as rude — if not worse. There was no attempt to fix the problem or even speak to us respectfully.
As for the food itself, I was charged $21 for nachos with no meat. They gave me barely any queso, a tiny bit of salad, and a small amount of sour cream. My friend paid $21 for a burrito that was also terrible — it barely had any meat and was mostly stuffed with refried beans.
To make matters worse, they added a gratuity charge on top of everything. For rude service and low-quality food, that felt completely unreasonable.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I definitely won’t be coming back
I’m so happy with the new owners and management since the old restaurant closed, and this one opened!
The restaurant remodel is beautiful, and the music is at a good level, my husband and I can have a conversation without having to yell over the music.
The food is FANTASTIC! Absolutely delicious, everything is seasoned well, and is flavorful. They dont skimp on portions. I don’t think anyone leaves here hungry.
Staff is very kind, and are very good people.
Tonight Adrian took care of my husband and I. I ordered steak fajita quesadillas, my husband got the chicken fajitas quesadillas, SO DELICIOUS! Adrian was an absolute pleasure.
Carlos & Jarvis took care of us for breakfast. Jarvis recommended the coffee, which was hot & sweet, with a cinnamon kick to it, very delicious and warming. both have been fantastic servers every time we have them.
They take food allergies seriously, and when I say no avocado/guacamole they make sure it’s not served to our table, which is always very much appreciated.
The coffee for breakfast is DELICIOUS, their breakfast menu has a lot of choices. While not 24hrs, their hours are fantastic. I can actually get a hot meal as a late night truck driver.
