HAPPY TO HAVE LOCAL MEXICAN BACK! The maiden voyage to Don Melchor was certainly enjoyable. Staff were delightful and the Margarita was fishbowl huge! Tasty steak Street Tacos and typical guacamole,beans, and rice sides were the order. Delicious.
Clearly, our servers were eager to go all out. There are just a few (gotta fix up that bathroom big time) points to consider when completing renovations.

WOW! I’ve passed by 1000 times and decided to stop by to give it a try… I have to say the food was delicious served hot and fresh, the absolute best flavored Mexican food in Tallahassee. I ordered a steak quesadilla (steak was tender and tasty peppers and onions cooked just right) and chips and queso (queso was yummy and served hot) Our waiter LUIS V. was fantastic he was super attentive to drinks and checked on us regularly throughout the meal to see if we needed anything else. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms. Great job guys. We’ll see you again soon!!!

This place is very good. It is also small and packed, and loud. If you order takeout, be prepared to run through it several times with the bar. Ordered for the family tonight. Got home to find out that I never noticed that he never actually rang up my meal. Everyone but me got to eat, and they are a 20 min. Drive from me. They’re food is so good, I almost cried.

Last week my husband and I tried Don Melchior for the first time. We ordered a queso dip and I ordered the Pollo fundido and he ordered the quesa campechana for our meals. The food came out quickly and were full of flavor as they were served hot and fresh. The servers were attentive and friendly.

Had a great experience with the servers and the food coming out so quickly! I ordered the Mexican chicken and they made guacamole right in front of you. The sweet teas was very good!

The service was super fast and friendly for lunch. There is a good variety of dishes and the taco, burrito, and enchilada were all tasty. The only minor gripe is that the taco shell was a little soggy on the bottom from the meat. Chips and salsa were fresh.

We ordered from grub hub and they flat out ignored our order. Grub hub called and their call was placed on hold and then disconnected. If you’re too busy for take out orders or delivery you should not be listed on grub hub. So it is 7pm and we have no dinner. This was our first experience with this restaurant and we’re disappointed.

Today was our first visit to Don Melchior, but certainly won’t be the last. Excellent food, great service! Dined in. Better than the other Mexican restaurants in town. Keep up the good work!
