So let’s start with the positives… good selection of dim sum still served from the traditional carts in a great atmosphere. If you are a dim sum connoisseur you will probably be disappointed. Otherwise you will find the selection and variety very good. Service is a strange mix of supervisors checking in on you and cart staff that can be rude or ignore you. Overall… dim sum is an experience and our family just found it all to be part of the adventure. Very busy location and reservations are recommended or expect to wait for a table especially if you are a party of more than 4 people. Extremely steep stairs to get to the dining room which are a challenge for even the most able bodied.

Located on the main street of Victoria’s Chinatown, this seems to be a popular spot for visitors. Dim sum is served in the traditional cart style, though we got pretty confused since the carts seemed to come around randomly. The taste was just okay — the congee was the best of the bunch, while the xiao long bao had a thick skin. Unfortunately, both my friend and I got stomach aches afterward, which made us question the freshness of the food.
Service also felt a bit chaotic. There are definitely much better dim sum places in Richmond.

Visiting the area my family & friends decided to go in as we’re just viewing Chinatown with hunger. The place was upstairs and was pretty big. They had many dishes to choose from and I had pork fried rice, which was enough to share. Almond chicken, sweet & sour pork, dim sum, lo mein, wonton soup and other items. Very good food but it can be a wait from the server when asking for things. I asked for hot mustard and hot oil and I had to remind them like 3 times. Not sure if they were short staff or if it’s like that but only negative thing is the waiting on items asked for. It’s a place I could recommend. I wished I had more time in Chinatown to check out the others.

It’s Hongkong style restaurant. Dim sum menu is available only lunch. Price is 9-11$ per place, depending on menu.
They served with trolley and you picked from it.
Recommend deep fried tofu sheet with shrimp menu is the best!
except the egg tart was not crispy and not feel like not fully baked.
Parking lots is nearby but need to pay

Such an amazing experience! My spouse and I tried nearly every variety of dim sum, and we absolutely loved the flavors. The food was delicious, satisfying, and surprisingly light on the stomach, which made it even more enjoyable. This place is now at the top of our list. I would highly recommend it, especially if it’s your first time trying dim sum this is the perfect spot to start. We’re already looking forward to coming back again in the future.
Must go before 1pm. (Check dimsum serving timing with restaurant by calling or online if available).
PS: tea experience was amazing.

I finally tried Don Mee in Victoria’s Chinatown, and it was quite an experience! The food goes around dim sum–style, and you just pick what you want while they mark it down on the paper at your table. There’s also an à la carte menu if you prefer ordering specific dishes.
The food was delicious and felt very authentic, which explains why the prices are on the higher side. It’s definitely not the cheapest spot, but if you’re looking for that true dim sum experience in Victoria, it’s worth checking out.
